Saw a whole case of the Botbots Series 5 blond packs at Dollar Tree for those interested.

 

I went to my local one outside of Philly and haven't seen anything yet. What states are we starting to find these, if no one minds sharing?

Supposedly Ross is getting a box-set with all four of the Wave 1 Micros and an exclusive fifth, but in my experience they're unreliable as a source to buy from. My Micros (both the singles and the box) are with a friend in Mexico waiting for our next Loot Crate Exchange.

 

What a cool friend. Kudos to them.

 

We hooked up on JPToys when some of the original 2018 figures were being sold in Mexico but not the US and I went looking for someone to put together a "group buy" with--the idea was one HUGE shipment across The River, then I break it down into individual packages and send figures on to final homes.

Since then... well, that effort evolved into a US-Canada-Mexico-Europe kind of "mutual aid" society, where all of us in the DPG trade notes about what's turning up where and coordinate so each member has the football on getting the nuisances that turn up in their area for everybody. Really, I wish more communities, and more people in various communities, did stuff like this to popularize and refine the practice, because right now all of the coordinating work is on my shoulders and I'd like to know there'll be somebody ready to take over in case things go sideways while I have to dodge 18-wheelers crossing an intersection of two major roads every morning with maniacs trying to turn me into a smear on the pavement.

Also there are packs on Amazon for not TOO much over msrp for the 5 packs. The 8s are at $20 though which isn't awful but isn't great either.

 

Washington, WAY too close to Seattle.   Problem with Amazon is I can't snipe the exact Party Favors and Cardio Clique packs I need, and the return-and-reorder shuffle gets tiring.

 

Been to 3 of the Dollar Trees in my area, only one of them had botbots; they were pretty picked over, but was able to grab Breaker of Fortunes, Yard Guard, & Dr. Flicker. Botbots are making a return to my family's stockings this Christmas! Unfortunately, they didn't have the kettlebell, which is the one I wanted for myself. I've got one more Dollar Tree I'll hit on Monday, so wish me luck!

Btw, are these showing up at Dollar Generals as well? Recall seeing that somewhere.

Both sides are right. They're complete heresy to the hardcore G1 Is My Life-er and completely make no sense, but they're also funny and pure Turn Your Brain Off And Go With It FUN. The mental picture I have of these guys is they're like "TF x Minions." (Which is funny because I HATE those little walking suppositories, but am an OG Botbots Nut...)
