That said, the Party Favors 5-packs are also listed as a pre-order, yet I got a email yesterday saying they’d been shipped and a tracking number...

 

I found the 4 different series 4 surprise packs between two Targets in the Philly suburbs today. One of the women at checkout said she hadn't seen them before so it is possible we're gonna get series 4 in stock in the near futute.

 

I normally don't buy Bot Bots online because you are not guaranteed to get certain assortments. However, I decided to order the Arcade set from Wal-Mart while it was on sale for $11.99 and hit the jackpot.

 

Am i missing something?

 

The Arcade Renegades pack has 6 different assortments. All assortments come with the same 8 bot bots in the top window portion but assortments 1-5 have a combo of new arcade bots and series 1 repacks in the lower "blind bubbles". Assortment 6 is the one to get because you get the full team of arcade renegades and no series 1 repacks. The assortment # is by the big picture on the back.

Oh they did? I only ever got a Shockwave as a present and honestly, never cared for it, kept transforming by itself at the drop of a hat. Even these days, the local ebay-like sites are full of people trying to unload the remaining stock of those. It did not help that they had like 4 molds they kept repainting ad nauseam.

Yep, I posted the same a few pages back, managed to get #6 and thus all the Arcade Renegades. Only one store carries them here physically, so I was lucky.

 

I think those other little toys had the slight advantage of having old characters while BotBots have all new characters.

Oh, man. I loved Botshots! Though I recall them running alongside Q-Transformers at the time, so I didn’t get to pick up as many as I wanted. I recall wishing they had more paint apps at the time, but it probably wasn’t in the budget. But yeah, the ones that I have, I love. A lot of the side lines have been great.

I loved Bot Shots... not as much as Botbots, but I've got the full set (at least those released at retail... I know a few factory samples leaked out that only went for super-expensive prices). I actually played the online game quite a lot, I think I got on the leaderboards once.

That makes zero sense. They're ALL one per case.

 

True facts, Botbots will always get more of my love. Unique characters, superior overall detail, paint, and personality. But I did enjoy Botshots.

The Collecticon dude said he tried to order more series five, he was billed and then refunded with the explanation that the ones that got out were an error (if I understood him correctly) and that none of them would be going out again until April?
Curious. But it does make some sense, given how quickly we got to series five.

 

So that means Series 4 still has a chance to go national rather than isolated pockets...

 

I am not a big fan of the golden Bot Bots, but this little guy is the exception. He looks pretty good decked out in gold.

 

Well when did you buy them? Strafe just said some are restocking later this year, and maybe you got them while they were in limited stock...

Huh. Well heck, if that's the case I might be able to get rid of ALL my Series 5 8-pack doubles very easily (don't worry folks, not gonna scalp 'em, once I "take inventory" and post all the doubles in the Botbots sales thread I'll only be charging $3 each + shipping)... But yeah, that makes a lot more sense. I did a double-take when I found out the guy in the UK found Series 5 singles, so far Botbots has been pretty good at sticking to their "every 4 months" time frame in between waves.

I sure hope so, there's just too many good figs there to be quickly glossed over.
