Was just about to post the video. Adorable! Also must have been hard to make!
They did accidentally use Ice Sight instead of Moogly, but ah well!
And I now wonder if I could give Lego weapons to Botbots. That sword that Bonz-Eye uses seems a lot like a lego sword.

    Son of a...!!!

I give you advice on the Arcade Renegades and this is how you repay me?! By tempting me to the extreme with another line I absolutely do not need right now?!? And is like one letter away from my internet name?!? (How did I not know about these...?)

Maybe later in the year. Still gotta bit of debt to pay off from that EXTREME TF product surge the last third or so of last year.

Found Quackles. He’s my favorite already. Reminds me of old BW toys.

"Know and love"? Never heard of the original video and I'm not exactly in love with Botbots either.

I opened my envelope in our Lawn League trade, was a pleasure to trade with you, Marvel B!

Cool! Well, uh, welcome to a thread where we talk about how we like Botbots?
    o_O

    Mooo hoo haaa haaaaaaa.
I was surprised that you didn’t already own one as your own little mascot, based on the name alone! I’m pretty curious about which you would pick out for that role, a chonky monkey or one of the quadrupeds?

Your advice on the Arcade Renegades paid off perfectly, too. I got packs numbered 1 and 2, a complete set of the sixteen Arcade Renegades and two of the last four Botbots I was still missing from series one! I dunno why I put off getting those for so long, I guess I wasn’t optimistic about my chances. Hell of a value even at full price, a steal at half off.

It looks trollish, but that's an unfortunate side-effect of the main page articles using (however rightly) the "main" discussion threads of any given topic for comments. It attracts "outside" commentary, sotospeak.

My main point, though, was that I/ some other TF fans don't know the "original" video.

Ah man, dont start in this thread too?

While I may not know what they were showing via vids, I dont see the point to get all up on these folks for "loving a toy line" and being negative.

    Be chill, yo.

Yeah, I appreciate that this thread is generally positive and free from petty stuff like this.
I can’t wrap my head around someone being snobbish in multiple threads because we like pretty much all of the same children’s playthings, but there’s this one extra children’s plaything you don’t like and so you want to keep telling us? Shrug?
We’re all fans of things, man. Thanks for stopping by.

Hasbro seem to be suggesting there is a cross branding potential - all be they are not being entirely serious about this - and it likely would make more sense with Cyberverse toys since that show is dafter.

Well, between Transformers and the occasional 3rd party "Meant-to-be-a-Transformer" toy, I don't really have the money to outright collect anything else, since I'm a completist in most domestic TF lines (or at least 99% of one-- slight variants I usually ignore, along with Rescue Bot redecos). So I pay zero attention to other toylines because I can't afford to really go down other rabbit holes. I think the last non-Transformer toy I bought that wasn't a gift for someone else was, like... X-Men: Evolution Toad and Nightcrawler back in 2001. Speaking of which, Toad from that series (who I still think is one of the awesomest characters of all time) was my avatar for quite a long time, I only finally dropped him a few years ago after I realized the character in my avatar was now, like, less than half my age, might give someone that wrong impression about me. Looking at the various Beastbox my favorite by a hair is that white gorilla that kinda is colored like High Score (Jojobs), but they all look pretty neat. If they ever make a toad/frog one I am in on DAY ONE.

Glad your Arcade Renegades pulls worked out!

Don't recall that being a thing but that would be awesome if it were. Maybe you were thinking of that little kids meal toy that turned into a steak from one of those Toy Story Shorts.

This is one time where the iPhone camera really fails to capture the true excitement of a tiny robot predicting the weather.

The only reason for anyone to own Micromaster Groundhog, honestly.

Oh, man. If I started collecting all the cool third party stuff, it would financially annihilate me. I’ve stayed away from it, apart from cost being a deterrent, because I know I wouldn’t be able to stop myself once I got going. The lone exception I make is for Iron Factory, because I like that their stuff is small and affordable. And they’re exceptionally well-made.

The prices seem to vary on Amazon based on availability/seller greed but the Beastbox Macaw I got was $25 on bigbadtoystore. That seems to be the standard going rate for all of them there, which strikes me as pretty reasonable. The more I look at the yellow “Rumblebeat” repaint, the more I like it.
