Hey it's me again! Just got all Wave 4 8-PACKS (8 of them) and here are the blind ones so we finally know the optimal buys!

As a side note I am quite disappointed with the blind ones as they are all repeats.. Well here they are:

Pack no based on the Botbots wiki!
    Movie Go-ers Pack #
    1 Snotty Stem
    2 Hiptoast
    3 Mr. Business Esquire
    4 Zanzabar

    Wilderness Pack #
    1 Windbag
    2 Zanzabar
3 GAME GOLDER ---> The pack everyone will want
    4 Lunchador

    Good luck with the packs!

Okay started to update the wiki with the recommended buy list but my brain had a meltdown and I'm drooling on myself. Will finish it later.

Yeah the wiki already has the list. It's a nasty tactic that we have to buy FOUR of the exclusive sets. In Series 3 you could get all the Arcade Renegades from one pack only, with some checking of the code on the back.

Btw, since I have not seen many comparison photos, I made some for those three series "1.5" toys I have. And I only realized now that Cuddletooth/McMuzzsaw's chainsaws can be pushed and locked in after you open them up to lock them in place, sweet!

Chief Cherry 3.14 & Duderoni (don't have Brock Head yet)
    Chief Cherry 3.14 - Duderoni01.jpg Chief Cherry 3.14 - Duderoni02.jpg
Amazing what some paint can do, while the lack of paint on Duderoni's helmet makes him resemble Blitzwing, the red/blue helmet and body makes Chief Cherri PI look very different in robot mode. And of course, the red filling on the sides makes the pie look perfect. Mmmm... Pieeeeee.... (drools) [/Homer Simpson]

    McMuzzsaw & Cuddletooth
    McMuzzsaw-Cuddletooth01.jpg McMuzzsaw-Cuddletooth03.jpg

I like them both, but McMuzzsaw looks more like an authentic chainsaw in alt mode, with the handles and the motor part being dark grey. The face cover here also looks more like a visor on the helmet. His face and helmet and the Constructicon colors make him look like a construction worker. Btw, love them next to each other, it's like he is eyeing her with a "why are you standing so close to me with that lovestruck expression?" face. :D
On mine, to quote Foodfight, "rigamoldis has set in", the feet and arms slide out much easier than on Cuddletooth, and also tend to be bent a bit and slide back easier.

    Silent Shade & Bonz-Eye
    Silent Shade-Bonz-Eye01.jpg Silent Shade-Bonz-Eye02.jpg

I have to say Silent Shade is just the better one in both modes. The arms being painted green on the outside makes the bonsai tree look more real. And the Y-shape colored green and the uniform black color as well as face cover makes it look like he is wearing a traditional ninja garb.

Can you post some photos of the artwork? I have yet to see the troop art from the Movie Moguls anywhere.
Also, really curious what that round thing on a balljoint embedded inside Critically Complained's head is.
Interesting that on the artwork at the top of the box, Lunchador is whirling Cackle Corn around his head, who is from Series 3. Usually they put Botbots from the same series on the artwork.

Man, you reminded me to dig these out. I ran across a few of them while packing my summer shoes away, but I wish I knew where the rest are... :D
Also, some of those game titles are wacky enough to be Botbot names.
Excitebike and Gyromite should totally be bike-themed Botbots. :D

Ah, you mean you bought them as singles, or you got extras?

Yeah I got that far already. My main problem was that the other characters are pretty evenly distributed. Of the ones that are left, they're most in 3 packs and a few in just 2. Here's the list I copied from my existing spreadsheet. The number next to the name is the number of sets they are in. Bare in mind, I've already removed the ones in the sets that are required (and the spelling errors were from copying from the wiki, which I think I fixed them all).

    Name #
    Bogusaurus Rex 2
    Chef Nada 2
    Critically Complained 2
    Cypops 2
    Eye-Goon 2
    King Cheats 2
    Lumidope 2
    Peary Peculiar 2
    The Great Mumblo Bumblo 2
    Windbag 2
    Bemyne 3
    Bretzel 3
    Doc Kit 3
    Dr. Flaskenstein 3
    Fizzkick 3
    Googly Spy P.I. 3
    Grandma Crinkles 3
    Heat Freak 3
    Hiptoast 3
    Lunchador 3
    Mr. Business Esquire 3
    Peels the Monkey 3
    Pop N. Lock 3
    Rolley Doughley 3
    Rusty Von Cleave 3
    Snorg the Conquerer 3
    Starscope 3
    Swapbox 16 3
    Tricitrustups 3
    Whoopsie Cushion 3
    Zanzabar 3

Seems despite the color indication on the Series 4 catalogue, not all that are marked with a yellow box are exclusive to the Claw Game / Gumball Machine.
These however, can only be found in them - some in either version of each, others ONLY in one specific version:
-Blurry Murray (in both versions of the Claw Game)
-Skitter Chatter (in both versions of the Claw Game)
    -Goldface (Claw Game #1 only)
-Mr. Memory Banks (Claw Game #1 only)
-The Cobbler (Claw Game #2 only)
-Gold Dexter (Claw Game #2 only)
-Fancy Flutter (in both versions of the Gumball Machine)
-Smore N'More (in both versions of the Gumball Machine)
-Crumbly Yumbly (Gumball Machine #1 only)
    -Goldsferatu (Gumball Machine #1 only)
-Crumbly Yumbly (Gumball Machine #1 only)
-Frostfetti Frostyface (Gumball Machine #2 only)
-Goldenberry D'uhnut (Gumball Machine #2 only)

It is kinda fitting that so many Sugar Shocks can only be found in the Gumball Machine. :)

Hmm. Yeah, the mystery bubbles within the eight packs being largely the same are a bit disappointing. But the individual choices are great, and people who aren’t ravenous consumers like me are more likely to end up with something good. Looking forward to photos of the new stuff, I still have to wait until tomorrow to get all of mine. Which seems miraculous in and of itself, but these giant megacorporations have enabled my very stupid desire for instant gratification.

So, I went to three targets today (one of which I previously bought one of the claw game packs) and the Transformers section was gutted. Apparently, they are making a cyberverse endcap and putting some kind of spinmaster batman stuff where the transformers were. Long story short, I couldn't find a single gumball or claw at target, nor even a spot for them to be sold. Sigh.

Ugh, I hate that the most. I have to buy the entire case of singles just to get 6 uniques (and Mumbo Blumbo, since I didn't get his 5-pack and he's not in any of the 8-packs). (They will NOT show up here, that I can promise you.) That's juuuust enough where if I were to buy them on eBay they'd be more expensive then just buying the whole darn case. I was hoping more of them would be in the blind bubbles in the 8-packs, the only blind-bubble ones I have yet to get are Mr. Business Esquire and (of course) Game Golder.

So I just noticed, the Series 4 catalogue says "190 in 2020". I counted, this series has 70 Botbots. That likely means we have 60-60 more and we will get Series 5 and 6 this year too. :)
    Damn, I need a bigger tool-case. :D

Odd, here in Hungary the singles are everywhere, and they are always the first to arrive. We have now gotten 5-packs of series 2 too, but 8 packs have yet to appear, but single packs appeared around 2019 August and they are still everywhere in Müller and Galaxy.

Well, you have to spend $80 to pick up all 6-packs right off the bat, so it's definitely going to be a lot higher this Series. That said, it's a very good start, at least.

I live in the boonies. We have one crummy Wal-Mart nearby and that's it, I have to drive for over an hour to get to the nearest non-Wal-Mart store that carries TFs, and even then it's a small Target and a small Meijer.

Anyways, I know Capirus put out a partial list earlier, but with the full pack breakdown in I can now put out the Series 4 Rarity List!

For those interested, here is the Series 3 Rarity List: BotBots Appreciation Thread
And for Series 2: BotBots Appreciation Thread
And for Series 1: BotBots Appreciation Thread

Compared with Series 1-3, the rarity stars are a bit more accurate, and one thing is correct-- all Gold Botbots are indeed in one pack. However, the rarity of some non-Gold Botbots has been "downgraded" to make the Gold Botbots seem more desirable, and so several on the checklist are still incorrect.

This list can help particularly for trades, to determine your Botbots' relative "worth", or to help you pick out the best multipack for you if you don't have the full selection at your store. So, I'll be breaking up the Botbots according to how many different packs they appear in:

    Series 4:

    COMMONS: (in 3 different packs):

    -Bemyne (Valentine candy)
