Series 3 finally starting to eke out in my area. Found some 8-pks at Meijer a couple days ago. Kept a dozen of the ones I like, gave a few to my daughter.
There’s a few good new molds so far, and a bunch of repaints which is typical for this line.

My two favorites of this bunch are Sugar Breath and Halloween Knight. Very nice design and colors with these two. I love Knight’s shield gimmick and her face and horns look really cool. Sugar Breath is probably the cutest dragon I’ve ever seen.

Shushifier are Nampy are nice little surprises. Shushifier gives me kind of an angel vibe with the wings and semi-halo around his head. Nampy is a nice take on the “monster under the bed” trope. Both nice original molds.

Swoonberry is technically a new mold, but shares some design cues from the likes of Shredder Jack with the faceplate and the arms in how they fold-up for transformation. Still a nice new mold with good colors. Really like the berries on top.

Sardank is a really cool repaint of Big Cantuna. The teal and gold color scheme really pops. The fish head seems more pronounced too in these new colors.

This is one of my favorite molds of this line. And Excessory is an exquisite repaint of Overpack. He may technically be a complete remold. The plastic used feels totally different compared to Overpack. It feels softer, possibly to simulate being made of leather. It’s very nice, and I love the gold and brown highlights.

The rest of these are still good reuses of the original mold, just not as outstanding as Sardank and Excessory. But I still think they’re cool. Looking forward to finding more Series 3 soon. Really want Quackles and Sensei Spiney.

Edit P.S.: I realize Avocando is an original mold, but not a good one. Same kinda design aspect as Sourwing, which I’m not a big fan of. Just not one of my favorites.

$199? LOL at the scalper. I'll wait for January or so and get the case for $80 from BBTS or EE.

 

I just gave up and ordered Wave 3 online, only to find them finally out at retail in Canada. Because of course. Just the 5-packs at this TRU.

Quite possibly, I think some of the earlier ones are very inspired by specific Shopkins etc...
So Fortnite being a big thing in merch terms makes sense to be inspired by. I personally tend to be reminded of Viva Pinata though.

 

Find a way to turn it into the lama hammer, and it becomes the ultimate weapon.
