Yeah,these things look fantastic. My kids already love Shopkins and other toys like that. They'll be all over these. I foresee all of our stockings filled with Botbots this Xmas.

 

robots turning into non-mechanical or non-bestial shit and robots smaller than humans are both things that normally break my suspension of disbelief, but they're so goddamn cute that i can get into the pure fun of them.

i'm also pleasantly surprised at how unique they've managed to make them. they could've totally phoned it in with shitty, generic art and poor designs but 99% of them are really pleasant to look at and keep really well in line with the transformers aesthetic, just "cutesified."

 

Since there will be a variety of alt modes in this line, are there any particular objects you’d like to see as a Botbot?

I’m hoping for a toy store themed tribe with a Tonka truck and a Nerf gun. Maybe even a teddy bear and a baby doll, but that might be a bit creepy.

 

also, i just wanna be the first to say - these botbots... are boughtbought.

i'm really hoping we get some protein-oriented foods. if i can get a protein powder or greek yogurt transformer... fuck.

 

I’m a sucker for cute things so of course I’ll be getting all of them. Plus I could get my younger cousins to play with these instead of my normal TF collection whenever they come over to visit.

My daughter will go berserk for these. Shopkins that turn into robots? There'll be drum beats in the distance as she crests the hill, a flaming sword in each hand, moving steadily towards Target.

Seriously, when was the last time we got 61 (!) BRAND NEW Transformer characters? Ever since G1? Maybe Beast Wars (even those re-use a lot of old names)? Needless to say, this is extremely exciting.

 

*Both of my cousin's kids stare at their mom expectantly*
"Can we go to Target again? We want more of these."
"I don't know,how about-"
*My cousin pauses for a moment to inspect some of the BotBots for a closer look.She lets out a barely audible squeal of delight.*
"Okay,but Mom wants some too."
*runs to grab her keys and puts the kids in the car before they can blink*

 

How hilarious would that be if this line actually developed to the point of becoming basically what Beast Wars was for a new generation of kids.

So far none. The Toilet Troop seem to be mostly made up of various 'toiletries'.
