This should have been the plot of the recent movie, people would have actually gone to see it.

Maybe the sequel, since the 2017 film set up Tommy to appear.

It was an okay movie, but there probably wont be a sequel. It under performed at the box office and barely broke even with marketing. Toy sales weren't there either, so that didn't help the bottom line out.

They need to give him a Netflix series. Nothing R Rated. It's still Power Rangers after all. But a good PG-13 like the movie and the comics. Let them stick to his universe. They can even bring in the other actors from MMPR in guest spots. But focus on him and a new cast as primaries. There's clearly an interest on Saban's part to do something a bit more grown up than the Nick show, while not abandoning that target demo. The movie reboot was a clear fail, but the comics are very well done. I do believe that this would be a big hit for them. Hasbro would love having an entire new thing to make toys of as well. Especially their own Zords.

I caught up on the comics today. I like the main MMPR comic a lot, but I really adore Go Go PR. I would put this up with the 80s New Teen Titans and 90s New Warriors books among the best teen team titles ever published. I am old enough to have read those both new off the supermarket spinner racks. I was actually old enough to have mostly ignore the original MMPR show. The comics aren't making those cringe-y for me, but i definitely appreciate them a lot more now.

The biggest issue with Saban is they don't want to spend money. You'd be surprised to know just what their involvement actually was in that little Shattered Grid trailer (hint: very, very little ... but man do they take credit for it).

As for the comics - Kyle Higgins is a beast. One of the best writers out there today IMO. To take a kid's show and turn it in to some of the best story-telling, along with Ryan Parrott on the sister series Go Go Power Rangers, is just icing on the cake for a Power Rangers fan.

Based on all the good things I’ve heard about this, I just might have to give these comics a go.

I’ve never been a super Power Rangers fan, but this just seems like a perfect take on them.

The closest I’ve come to reading these was the Justice League crossover.

How many comics are there total, ongoings, miniseries, and one shots?

Okay, I’ve downloaded the Boom! Studios comic app, logged in to my account, and now I’m all set to start reading this comic, volume by volume. :)

I wonder what the future will be???

Since it'll be a Hasbro property and IDW has the Hasbro Shared Universe. Will we be seeing it transfer over?

I just read the FCBD Shattered Grid preview. Now I'm interested in getting a Lord Drakkon figure.

Has volume five of the main comic come out yet? Or any TPB for the spinoff series?

    Finished reading volume 2.

This series definitely embraced the overarching plot moreso then the show ever did.

Though I must ask, has Lord Zedd appeared yet? Like at all?

And Black Dragon, he is awesome. Though he looks more like a bipedal shark to me.

Also, Volume 5 is on the app now, so there’s that.
