Another size comparison posted by TF-D on facebook. I don't think I've seen it here
While movie-scale Devy might be a pipe dream, I'm holding out hope that movie-scale Constructicons are still in the realm of possibility (well, maybe not Scavenger. He'd have to be bigger than Troublemaker ). Imagine a Mixmaster without a backpack, or an Overload with a proper quantity of appendages. You know I'd pay good money for that.
In a surprise twist, my compresor reissue from TF-Direct shipped yesterday as well! Looks like my devy will be standing sooner than I thought! Although, if sweeping is as fun as he looks, I WON'T want him to just sit in leg mode all the time...
And that is why we need a red flavored sweeping redeco post haste!
Honestly, that’s the perfect size for me. Any bigger and I wouldn’t know where or how to display it. Might pick up some studio series figures for a scene with this bad boy.
I like this size, even though he's the wrong scale I like to think of him more as like a battle beast than a massive colossus
Shipping out of China has been a nightmare for many things lately. I hope my constructicons make it out OK! It's been a week and they're still in Shanghai.
Surprisingly mine left Shanghai within 3 days! He's currently terrorizing the local distribution center though...
I’ll be getting two. The question is until I have my second so I focus on him in bit mode or leg mode…
You're getting two yellow ones?
Mine is on the way and is apparently already in New York, although tracking hasn't updated in about two days.
Unfortunately not one of Ben's best reviews, but just to give another idea:
I've been continually impressed with this set but if he can't stand up at all without a rod up his ass, he's gonna on ebay.
That would certainly suck but I intend to keep him on all fours anyway. Let's hope he can handle that without any rods.
To each their own, but I can't imagine enjoyment of this whole set being predicated on whether it needs a little bit of (included) support or not.
We've known for a while now that the figure can stand just fine, and that the rods are intended for helping with long-term display stability. It's a bonus not a requirement.
I mean I’d argue that keeping it from breaking from just standing is a bit of a requirement. I can see why it’s annoying. Tho it should be expected given its 3 figures just for the torso and head.
Probably. I've been buying doubles of this set. If a red version is announced soon enough maybe I'll hold out. Combiners are too big a headache to deal with if I want both the combiner and individual bots. Over all these guys have been incredible.
Well first of all, the person I was responding to said "but if he can't stand up at all without a rod up his ass..." and we already know for sure that he CAN for sure stand up without the rods, and do the all-fours pose just fine. Secondly, we don't know that they're NEEDED, since we don't have the full set and there aren't any breakages or anything, so for now it's at best a considerate bonus item and at worst a precautionary measure for long-term display. Either way I'm happy with the fact that they will be included and I'm not upset at the design of the set.
I’m sure they’ll enhance the overall poseability of the figure and allow it to hold some more dynamic positions. And, of course, displaying it for years on end, it can’t hurt to have that little bit of stability.
