how big is this dev compared to the ss one?
He's a little bit taller, but a whole lot chunkier
Ah thanks, good to know! Still great news that they’ll follow up Skipjack with a rampage in the near future
I've received word that my Paranoider and Bomber are ready to ship
AHH I thought you were gonna say Skipjack
Nice though! Honestly I think the only figure released so far that doesn't have much playability is Split, but his truck and head mode are superb.
Sorry, no skipjack yet. But I agree, Split is by far the weakest and most fragile-feeling of the bunch.

Clink on the link.
Thanks guys. Fun video. The detail is incredible. I only wish the tail was more articulated. I was even thinking that when they release a red version I wouldn’t even mind if they got rid of the stuff that allows him to combine and focused on the bot mode a bit more but I’m pretty sure that’d never happen
I’ve been checking Showz every now and then to see if he’s switched to “incoming” instead of “preorder” but nothing yet unfortunately.
I keep seeing replies to this thread and thinking "Skipjack is being released????" but then I look and no release. I am super looking forward to Skipjack's release, having Devastator standing is honestly something I have been waiting for since I got my first figure from this set.
Huh it’s really interesting to see how much they borrowed from the SS figure
I thought that at first then it just keeps going and going, so many new parts like the cabin transformation in both bot and combined mode; I think they could have done the tracks better, given us actual individually linked tracks like TW' Devastator even if the were just clip on swap out parts although I don't see why they would need to be, they could just have replaced the hinged segments for the bot mode. Combined mode is really where this shines though!! So many party tricks to make it look awesome, the cabin (again) is a triple changer of its own! Did anyone expect to see it flip over and have about 5 inches of hinged tread come out of nowhere? Nice! (even though I was just having a go at the tread design lol).
Yeah definitely the same basic idea as the SS figure, but way way more complex with more going on. The only thing I wish was that it had more tail articulation. It's weird that the tail clips into place for bot mode. I definitely won't be doing that! If/when I get the red rampage one I may modify it heavily to have more tail articulation, since I wouldn't need it to combine and I don't see anyone else doing an MPM-level Rampage anytime soon.
Dammit I need them to reissue compresor soon! My devy will be the only one in this thread who can't stand up yet after this
It definitely feels like the earlier releases were based more off of the RotF figures, be it the mainline or legends (Longhaul, Demolisher, Overload) where as the newer ones have taken more cues from SS (Hightower, Skipjack). Interested to see if Scrapper borrows from SS. From the renders it doesn't look like much.
Yeah agreed. I wish they'd had more SS figures to go off of earlier on, since if you look at the general transformation scheme for the SS Constructicons they got a lot right by not over-complicating them and having them be generally successful in at least two of their modes. Of course there's a lot to be improved upon but DS essentially has MPM budgets for these figures.
06 is ready to be launched, they're calling it!!!
VERY exciting! Showz better get stock soon!
