I added a bit of paint to Bomber. I think he looks a lot more balanced now, color-wise. The fact that his face was almost entirely yellow was the only thing that bugged me. I also added a con symbol!

My giant axe shipped too! Man, I can't believe I'm doing this. Feels a bit insane to get all of them...

Nice positioning! I should look into getting some black bot/con symbols too. I only have silver outline, white outline and the classic red/purple.

I'm not 100% sure about that clamp... It is out of combiner peg axis, so when you rotate split on the combiner peg it seems to stress that clamp...

? No need to rotate Split there imho. Devy's head/face can rotate, but Split shouldn't be rotated around the (big) combiner peg, so the clamp in the picture should never be 'out of combiner peg axis' / stressed.

You still have to remove the clasp to hinge Split up, e.g. for a quadrupedal posture. Thankfully the combiner joint is more than strong enough without the clasp.

What does the clasp actually accomplish? I don't have Split yet but from what I see on Giant Axe, the combiner joint does seem quite sturdy and it appears that Split also pegs onto the treads on Giant Axe. Is the clasp really all that necessary?

No, there are no pegs connecting Split to GA although some pictures might suggest otherwise.

Oh, interesting. I haven't seen any photos, I'm just looking at my combined Axe and Compressor and the first thing that stands out to me are the pegs sitting right on top of the treads. I know they're used for connecting the treads in vehicle mode, but they seemed almost intentionally positioned in combined mode to attach to Split. Good to know that they don't, thanks!

Yep, the clasp isn't necessary at all. It only connects when the neck is all the way down, which is the one position where it would hold a pose if the ratchet wasn't tight enough already. I hadn't really thought about it before this discussion, but the clip does seem like an odd inclusion now. Eh, not like it detracts from the figures at all.

I know none of the bay verse devastator toys have managed to keep all parts in the same scale- but with the new guys in hand it’s increasingly feeling like with the exception of Mixmaster (who seems close to mpm), the majority of these guys probably come closest to studio series scale.

just one of those funny things, since I’d thought of the set as mpm.

And that's mostly to blame Devastator's head being way bigger than a cement truck can allow. Devil Saviour to me is an SS scale combiner but you just have to imagine that Mixmaster is a "mass-shifter"

They are mostly SS series scale and complexity. But Devastator is closer to MPM than the individual members.

Couple more scale comparisons with MPM Bumblebee. None of these are really in scale except maybe Mixmaster, but even then he’s a touch too small. Regardless, here’s some vehicle mode pics. Completely understand the compromise of not scaling with each other for a much better combined mode. A8444878-DCA6-4579-A5A1-0A9C169BE674.jpeg

They actually don't look all that bad together. I'm still going to hold out for the OSKO SS set to compete...

Yeah this set is studio series scale and I'm OK with that. It means they have more bots to interact with! But also, much more critically, it won't take up so much space in combined mode that my wife will divorce me :D

MT-05 Mixmaster from that set has been leaked, and he looks pretty damn good.

Honestly I am kinda hoping for an OS Troublemaker later down the road, more properly scaled with the MPM line. Heck, I'd also be happy with another company having a go at their own RoTF Devastator. More Devastators pls

For anyone who's bought from Bombusbee, do you know what shipping company they use? I used global express on my order but 17track doesn't know which carrier the number is for.
