Out of the two I have, Overload is definitely my favourite. I'll probably end up revising that opinion once I get replacement parts for Scavenger tho, or whenever Hightower and Buckethead arrive.

    Looking iffy how so?

When I ever I go in that thread they all seem convinced that not only is the next one way overdue (and I’d agree), but they seem to think that particular company has moved on to other projects and they wonder if they actually intend to finish.

I have no solid info. But a lot of people in that thread are very pessimistic.

Ah yeah, BMB has confirmed that they're coming but for all we know it could be 2022 before they release.

Anyone else wish they would redo Split to be based on the Studio Series figure so we don't have to endure that nightmare transformation? Since all the newer figures are a lot simpler than that one was.

I'm pretty sure it is based on the studio series mixmaster (A lot of parts end up in similar places in all 3 modes) but it's so heavily modified that it's beyond recognition, even adding a 4th mode. I could be wrong mind you, but I'm just judging by what I see.

If someone released a non-transforming mixmaster that had a perfect head mode that could also expand like in the movie I would maybe buy.

Yeah same concept, except better than that in every way :D  I wouldn't want a full set like that, but maybe just the head.

The prototypes of DS-01 and -02 (or BB-01 and -02 at that point) were shown off in June 2019, almost half a year before SS Mixmaster and Scavenger were revealed IIRC. Their similarities in engineering are likely due to the same reason most figures of the same character transform similarly.

Wow love how streamlined the transformation is! Builds on the simplicity of the studio series with just enough added steps to get the mpm level of details without overthinking anything; definitely the star of the set!

now do I go on the skipjack version or do I hold out for Rampage Red flavour

Looks soooo good! Transformation looks fun and not too complex but not too simple either. Plus the integrated hand cannons and turret things are great features. His tread whips have so much articulation! I think I'm gonna have a blast with this guy :)  Only thing I wish was that the "tail" was longer and pointier. Maybe someone will make an add-on or something.

So usually this guy gets figures maybe 3-4 weeks before release, yes? Which means he really should be coming soon!

Oh, well fair enough. I guess it might be based on the RoTF figure in that case? I know Scavenger and Overload are based on the Legends figures, and that Long Haul is based on the 2009 Voyager Long Haul.

Oh damn :(  well it’s been said in this thread that he’s not that far behind paranoider and bomber so I hope that’s true! Definitely the most exciting member of the team to me :)
