Okay, I contacted the store and they said that they couldn't offer a replacement, but will order and ship a replacement part. This has me worried, because the foot is pinned into the metal piece and I doubt there is a way to remove it.


I really hope they send a new foot along with it...

 

I don't know who you bought from, but if it's a part that is pinned, ShowZ will send the entire assembly that the needed replacement part is pinned to. At least for me they have.

 

Don't just ask for a replacement piece, ask for like a replacement leg or something that you can remove and reattach with a screw.

 

Unfortunately, after I brought up the issue and asked for a full replacement, they went ahead and ordered the part before even replying to me...

Also, is this normal? The left leg can't collapse any higher.

 

Found storage for the hip fillers! They slot in loosely but the blue hip pieces keep them in place pretty securely.

 

Dang, did one of the hip skirts break on you?

 

Yeah I snapped it. But it went back together with glue easily.

 

I modded the waist fillers to allow some waist rotation.

Not the same. LS03F has a big gun out of scale even with its own Optimus. It's very very bulky. BS03 has less complexity and it's smaller. I like way more BS03 gun.

 

thanks! I think I'm hoping to find somewhere to buy BS03's gun (if separately, better). I'm planning to learn to custom paint so that my M01 would look like an accurate evasion mode rusty prime, and I'm hoping to give him a blaster (with light up) so that he doesn't need to remove the tanks on his back to have a gun. maybe I could contact the factory lol!!!

Lord, I had quite a lot of fun doing this. Considering this is the first time I've ever laid my hands upon 3D printed plastic, let alone painted it, I'm more than satisfied with the end result. My quest for the nigh-on perfect transforming Knight Prime has been fulfilled. If only his knees were double-jointed and shoulder joints not made of recycled cardboard..

Thanks again @VinhLee for making a dream come true. After reassembling him it took me right back to the moment when I was a kid gushing over the Knight design after witnessing it on screen for the first time.

Now we just need a better Lockdown..

I do appreciate the UT engineering, that's actually the first reason to buy it.

First time i spent just under an hour, no instructions or video to help me out. I like figuring it out on my own and i feel that no matter how complex, something should be engineered in a way that you can figure it out on your own.
Most of my time was spent getting everything lines up properly to close all gaps in truck mode.


Going back into bot mode took me around 15min.

It now has a place with my other AOE figures in the living room untill i switch all my stuff around again

 

Perhaps PayPal if I weren't as slow as a snail and had a proper space to work from. My current workbench is my dining room table and my spraying booth the balcony  

 

Wow looks great! Any plans to add an ink wash? That's the only thing I could think would make it look better. Amazing paint work.

Dude I feel this. I currently spray in the bathroom since it has a ventilator fan, and I paint on the couch or table.

 

Thanks. And no, I most likely won't. I went into this thing with a clear vision of what I wanted him to look like and a pin wash + the usual paint scuffs did the trick for me.

In this case, less = more to me. I think that if I were to wash him to kingdom come it'd only distract from the most important vocal point: the chest and head. It's also the reason I kept the paint chipping a simple highlighted silver instead of layering it.

However, I might add a few black paintchips on the silver parts.
