Oof. I wonder if this is the final version or some kind of pre-production piece with less paint. The lack thereof certainly hurts the figure in my eyes.
Regardless, I'm still in because I definitely want a Voyager Hound. I'll just take some paint to the guy if I have to.

 

It's a $15 OS KO. It's not going to have premium paint.

 

Didn't realize they were that cheap. Guess I'm used to living in the age of high quality KOs.

 

The only blight I see on it are the eyes. If anything these siege kos are gonna make for excellent custom fodder.

 

Damn, I don' t need the ones in the pic, but I really need an OS Flywheels.

 

They are cheap but, not crap.

The head on Hound makes it a big nope from me, though.

 

First looks at KO OS Hound. No gold trimed. The weapons are fully grey. His eyes looks terrible.

It's weird they would make a toon head on a figure that's not even remotely cartoon.

I hope they fix that ugly seeker head.

 

That will certainly make lots of people happy if they OS Siege UM to the earlier Leader class size along with no stupid battle damage.

If they upscale Ultra Magnus and Shockwave they are as good as bought. Megatron and Optimus possibly. Ironically, I hope they downscale Jetfire to his older Leader size.

Oh man i was hoping they'd oversize hound and make him decent. This is crap. Then i was hoping they would do jetfire but the way this hound looks i dunno if i want them to now.

 

Seconded... voyager scale, particularly if they fix the problems with the tank mode tabbing and the cannon handle being too short.

I want a voyager Ironhide as well.

And I hope it's successful enough to carry on as I want Siege Spinister, but I want it at Voyager scale far more. The problem is that prior to this announcement from Black Mamba, I would have pre-ordered the official Siege version immediately, even though I'm not happy with the scale... but now I'm taking a risk that I may not get a version at all.

 

them being over sized is a huge missed opportunity for characters missing from the regular roster. could have done any number of seekers, nemesis prime, detritus, etc etc. i miss the days of chms and hate the craze of os figures (except where appropriate like the dinobots)

 

Totally agreed: Spnister should've been a voyager and an OS KO is the best (only) chance for this.

Here's the thing, Titan's Misfire, Triggerhappy and Slugslinger should also have been voyagers. I didn't buy those back then because the original were too small and there were OS KO's coming out from Titan figures. And although it makes a lot of sense to OS KO those (it will give people a Misfire for a MTMTE/LL collection, there featured in both Rebirth and Headmaster, and it's the basic same mould for all three), it never happened.

Spinister really is too small for me, but I'm going to get it (and hope I will have the problem later of an OS KO coming out and having to sell the original). Only question: do I buy the Hasbro version or am I going to hope the TT version will come with targetmasters? (EDIT: AE put up the pre-order and it's exactly as expected: just the figure.)

 

hasbro and takara mainline releases are identical, so their spinister wont have targetmasters. hasbro is however releasing both hairsplitter and singe. hairsplitter is shrute from the skywarp pack (alternatively use a caliburst body and aimless limbs/barrel) and singe is a final wave repaint of firedrive
