Ever since G1. There was Bluestreak but he was always silver. Apparently their supposedlywas a blue Bluestreak (supposedly) but nothing has ever come of it. Then Hasbro lost the trademark to the name and since then he's been called Silverstreak which fits since He's silver.....until now.

Apparently while watching TJOmega's Toycember review of the new Legends figure. He's actually named Bluestreak and Hasbro got the name back.....


I'm sorry but why did we have to go back to Bluestreak when he's clearly not blue. I've always liked Silverstreak as a name.

So what do you guys prefer. Bluestreak or Silverstreak?

he's not named after a color, a bluestreak means a long streak of words. bluestreak was characterized as a very talkative, fast-paced guy.

 

Never gave enough of a crap about the character to care.

 

Although 'bluestreak' is actually a word that is relevant to his character, I prefer Silverstreak. Simply because it confused the hell out of me as a kid that a character whose name contained 'blue' was not blue.

But he does have alot of silver  

 

When Budiansky named the character he was working off the blue Fairlady toy. It's just an unfortunate coincidence that a character whose bio referenced and tied in with their colour actually has the colour of their toy changed.

 

I usually just call him Streak.

 

im surprised hasbro didnt jump on the idea of using both bluestreak and silverstreak as 2 different transformers

 

I like both names, I also like the idea of them being two separate characters.

 

Because the "bluestreak" has more to do with police officers instead of the actual color blue.

 

I'm not gonna start calling him Silverstreak because hasbro was too stupid to keep the rights to the name Bluestreak. I grew up with him as Bluestreak and that's what he will stay.

However, I'm fine with Silverstreak if they use it as an excuse to give us blue Bluestreak.

 

I'm fine with both. He's one of the few guys I can think of with the new name and not use the original name first before thinking of the 'offical' name. So Energon Shockblast will be referred to me as Shockwave. Trailcutter will be Trailbreaker.

 

Bluestreak, because bluestreak has a meaning and silverstreak not.

 

Blue streak is what I'm most fond of but silver streak is cool too just not as cool as blue streak. I liked the idea of his origin one of the best bios ever for me kinda tragic.

 

Always Bluestreak. Silverstreak can be someone else. If it's obviously meant to be Bluestreak then I will call it Bluestreak.

 

Bluestreak's main weapon is a rifle that fires a blue streak of lightning for miles.

 

If Skyfire isn't made out of burning air, Bluestreak shouldn't have to be blue. It's a bit confusing, but a Silverstreak isn't really a reference to anything other than his colour.
