Thanks. I'm running behind a little on the IDW style head, but I'll also be uploading a kit that's just the swords.

well it makes sense for the ROTF Voyager sized bludgeon. since the Rotf Bludgeon is suspose to be a fusion of his pretender shell mixed with his inner robot self.

just think of the inner skeleton face on rotf bludgeon as cybertronian steel & not bone. more in the essence of when a transformers gets beaten up so badly in the marvel G-1 comics that his parts fly off & reveal a robotic skeleton.

 

This boils down to personal prefrence. Silver or white paint.

 

A quick render of the G1 style in silver. Personally this ones my favourite as it has more of the dark god element.


Here's also a quick update on the IDW version, still need to change the helmet and do a few tweeks here and there.
The hanging jaw cables were a pain, as they need to hang low enough but still clear the ball joint.

 

OOooooo, i dig the jawless one a LOT more. Speaking of the balljoint, how far up/down can he look. (can we get a back view of the sculpt as well please?)

 

As you can see I've narrowed down the ball joint stork to give more clearence. The head should be able to tilt down about 5-10 degrees, but I doubt I can get any more out of it without a total rethink.

 

Update:

Re done the helmet loosely based on the IDW Stormbringer designs, although tried to keep a hint of samurai in the design. I also kept the crest/horns from my G1 version just becuase I thought the IDW vesions were a little squat.

I added the cracking damage around the top jaw in photoshop as it'd just be too tricky to add it directly to the model.

A little hacking with a scalpel to the shapeways part will acheive a nice effect.

 

Ooh, nice stuff. As soon as this IDW head's up, I'm getting ready for a nice bulk order from your shop.

 

wow love the idw design cant wait for to it to be up, definatly getting this, you wouldnt be making replacement feet for the rotf toy would you?

 

OOO, (i should stop doing that, but i cant help it), That IDW Stormbringer one looks cool as well! But, lighting wise, i can't see as much as i'd want to. A little more light mistah? /british poor boy accent.

I can do, I'll have a look at the figure over the weekend and see what I can do.

IDW Bludgeon Alternate Version

Hi-

Do you have plans to make a 3rd IDW Bludgeon head-like the one featured in AHM done by Nick Roche? (attached below)

I would be grateful and extremely interested if you did. I like his interpretation of Bludgeon as well as Don's-he gives Bludgeon such a monster-ish robotic appearance while still keeping the spirit of his G1 incarnation alive.
