Managed to see the content without going to the ridiculous measure of shelling out for the DVD again. I'm quite impressed, but also slightly confused as to how they can leave the Blackout/Grindor thing hanging (the only plausible way I can see it is if they do some kind of retcon and say that he was a generic drone, or generic bodytype).

Yeah, that's going to be packaged with the "Deadwood" movies.

What I have noticed is that with the new content on the BD live extras, the Sector 7 content has been removed from the lineup.:mad

I just watched all the "new" content, and found it horribly disappointing. Nothing there was honestly new. The ROTF stuff has been seen already. The "deleted scenes" were nothing special, and I felt rather let down.

Anyone else get the "meh" feeling from this?

They "explain" it by having dozens of Constructicons. Prime kills one in shanghai, but you see another one in Egypt at the end, as well as dumptrucks, etc. They are basically "drones". Blackout/Grindor seems to be a similar case. Think of them as slight remolds. You see Constructicons fighting WHILE Devastator is formed.

On Cybertron, to make the most of a mold, the Allspark creates multiple bots with the same body, just giving them different names and slightly different color scheme. ;)

Is anyone else not getting the new clips in full screen? It's just sorta in this window setup that takes up half the screen. Or is because I'm watching on an SD TV?

Re: Sector 7 Transmissions on BD.

They're on disc 2 of the BR set. You have to go to setup, and push left on one of the voice choices. When you do it correctly, you'll see a Sector 7 insignia appear. It's an Easter Egg, and they're all there (Grimlock, 2 Starscreams, etc.). All of the Easter Eggs from the HDDVD version are here, too.

GAH! I can't get this to play on my computer... Any help please?

I do not know what player I should use. This laptop came with a blu-ray drive, but DIDN'T come with any bloody software.... I know there has got to be some good free software out there. And I mean legal free >.>

That sounds suspicious. Download.com is a good resource for freeware/utilities.

Not really. A lot of PC manufacturers give you the barebones software, and then expect you to buy a license from the 3rd party company for a discounted price. They rarely, if ever, give you the full version of the software required to make it work.

Nero? Instead of Nero ultra, you receive Nero Essentials.
DVD software is just the barebones software encoder, but if you want to access the HD-DVD/Blu-Ray portion (which requires a paid key to unlock) it's at least another $60.00

That's why when you build a PC through HP, they offer you the full software suite for $80.00+ (They ain't gon' give it.)
