I was watching Five Face of Darkness yesterday and among all the ridiculous stuff in it, I noticed everything Blaster said rhymed. When did the writers decide to make Blaster just as lame as Wheelie?

    I thought he always rhymed.

Then again I've only watched G1 all the way through 2 maybe 3 times so I'm by no means an expert.

I didn't keep watching after that, but did Blaster keep rhyming from that point on?

Blaster rhymed in the movie too. Do you remember: "No way two can play" then the Autobot Cassette Bots appear and battle the Deception Cassette Bots.

Maybe they confused Blaster with Roadblock from G.I. Joe, it was really only FFOD and the movie that it happened in as I recall and he quit after that. Blaster, like Roadblock, was cool even when he was rhyming. It's kinda like the old stereotype of how "white guys can't rap." Blaster rhymes like a "brutha" so he's cool, Wheelie however is like Mother Goose meets the "Informer" guy and the result is very painful to the audio receptors.

Agreed, also Wheelie's voice in general is just piercing and annoying.

Blaster turning into a chronic rhymer was annoying, but even worse was how often they had him saying "this is Blaster blastin' at you" everytime he made an announcement. Seriously, he says it like 3-4 times just in FFOD alone.

Meh, I always hated Blaster anyone. The poor man's Soundwave imo. :)

Anyone who dogs Blaster based on the TV Series and/or movie never read the TF Marvel comics series. Bob Budiansky's characterization of Blaster was cool and bad-ass--made him one of my top 5 favorite Autobots.

That was only one instance. The rest of the movie, I don't believe he rhymed.
