    Jim Sorenson, coauthor alongside Bill Forster of Legacy: The Art of Transformers Packaging, has procured another specimen of the unpublished Generation 2 packaging art for the Starscream redeco dubbed by fans as "Black Death". Evidently, "Blackout" was the name assigned by Hasbro to this unreleased figure!

    If you would like a hard copy of this artwork, you can see it in the Legacy book, which was reprinted in paperback just last year.

    I think it looks really cool and would make for a nice Selects figure for him but part of me cant get over that it isn't a giant freaking helicopter.

    Echoing requests for this guy along with G2 Sandstorm, G2 Ramjet, G2 Starscream and any of the other cancelled G2 Seekers.

    In a world where Hasbro gave Redwing, Hotlink, and the Rainmakers all in roughly one year, I think there's hope. The Welcoming Committee can get finished first even just to round out Hotlink's team.

    The sand-yellow version would be a more likely candidate for CHUG-ification (through selects), for the simple reason that this guy would look an awful lot like skywarp.
