BLACKARACHNIA started out as a promising young recruit at the AUTOBOT Academy. Accidentally abandoned on a hostile alien world by her teammates, she did the only thing she could – merged with the organic monsters that swarmed the caves in which she was trapped. Emerging as a technorganic mutant, she vowed revenge on the AUTOBOTS that had left her behind, and joined the DECEPTICONS in their war of conquest.
Tech Specs

Generates organic webbing stronger than steel.
Mech-venom paralyzes mechanical victims.
Feeds on raw Energon siphoned from machines.

 

Interesting that the original Blackaracnia was a Maximal protoform and this one was originally an Autobot. I like it.

 

It's been up for a while now. Came up shorty after the other bios went up. (like the next day)

Still, I bet a lot of people haven't seen it yet.

 

I've been checking the site every couple of days to see if anybody else was added, or if any Decepticons got voice snippits like the 'bots did.

 

Well I'm guessing it could either connect to Optimus or Rachet.

1. Blackarachnia was Rachet's comrade Arcee.

2. BA was a lost teammate of Optimus leading to his expulsion from the Academy and bad blood with Sentinel.

 

Definitely setting up a lot of parallels with BW Blackarachnia here, though not a direct rip. Given that, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see her 'redeemed' in some way a la BW as well (though I fear it might be more of a Dinobot redemption than BA.)

Not sure If I'd like to see her defect and join the Autobots. She should join the Dinobots instead.  

 

I don't buy that. She's in the scene with The Dinobots if I recall.

This sounds more plausible.

 

I think it's a working theory right now that the tied up character in this picture is BA before she went all evil. It looks like she's tied up by some kind of web, and the background sure doesn't look very mechanical. This is probably when she got ditched and left for dead.

 

This is can very well be true. Maybe OP got ditched from the Academy because he lost a subordinate team member (i.e. Blackarachnia) in what should have been a routine assignment.

That's what I was thinking. A reason why Sentinel is condecending (sp?) to OP. He screwed him over.

 

I'm seeing shades of Armada Wheel Jack and Hot Shot.

 

Blackarachnia is not Arcee.

Arcee is going to be in it and voiced by Susan Blu nontheless.

Well according to Kickback, Sentinel's reason to dislike Prime is a REALLY good one so I doubt Sentinel would've been the one trying to screw up Prime, maybe he's in that scene trying to help BlackArachnia.

 

A-ha, so he could have been having an affair with BA before the accident (which probably could be a reason for OP flunking Academy).

 

Interesting bio. Whoever she turns out to be, she's got her own motive for being evil, which I like. The Decepticons all seem to have basic origin stories this go round which makes them seem so much cooler as villains - you know who they are and what they want, a massive step up over Cybertron Megatron, whose final goal was revealed right at the end of the series. That's something the writers should have set out within the first half dozen episodes!
