I been wanting to do a Black Zarak forever. I finally took the time to get this guy done. He's a made from a G1 Scorponok (thats thyViper for the hook up) I gave him 2 heads, one repo BZ Head and a classic style version I designed from a some stuff I had in the parts bins. Also designed a new Spear, its 2ft tall. I wanted it to be the side of Fort Max to make up for his height. I managed to add about 6 inches to the Figure standing from Head to toe at 17 1/2 inches. If you count the Stinger he's about 20 inches. Waist articulation. New Knees Swivel arm Heads on Ball joints Extended the Tail 3 inches. Heres the pics. Thanks for checking him out! New Pics, added Hydra Mode!
Simply stunning. Love the simple colours and yet, you still manage to impressively channel Black Zarak. Keep up the awesome work.
this custom is soo impressive!! If i may ask, from what transformer toy did the additional height came from?
That's a really nice updated head you made. All in all, a very nice figure. Anything that's Japanese G1 (toy or cartoon) gets my vote.
What an awesome custom! and I'm still struggling with my BZ replica Can't find an extra claw anywhere! I don't think a lot of people keep track of the Hydra mode but it would be awesome to see this one do that. Love the new staff! Why not use a metal rod next time? That way it won't bend like it does now. iDD
I like the new head a lot better than the original. Great work. Perhaps some more lighting with infinite white/grey background would do this one more justice ?
Thxs thanks Done! Thanks Thanks thxs Thanks man, its because of all the inspiring customs I get to droll over when I see them posted. Thanks Thanks man, much appreciated. Sure, cybertron Metroplex and Darth Vader death star. Thanks Paul, now get me the job! Thanks 05bro! Thanks man, me too. Love doing these type of guys. Yea I was surprised it looked bent. Def Rod next time. Took some new shots..posted up top.
Thanks, the new pics are great ! Together with Scorponok, Dreadwind, Quake and Landmine, this one remains to be amongst my 1988 favs. Yep, I definitely like the new proportions due to the articulated limbs and the somewhat smaller new headsculpt; I've always felt the standard Black Zarak head was a bit too big, making him look like a bit of a toddler.
