Okay, but it took the other series an entire season, if not more, to gather an ensemble cast. Why is it okay for Black Lightning, but horrible for everything else?
What's horrible? The fact that BL doesn't have a team? I never said that's horrible, quite the opposite. Or do you mean, it's okay for me knowing they will have a team? If it's the latter, I'm okay with it bc there's no team NOW. Hence, I'll take it ep by ep. Nor is there a timeline when it will, or maybe if it will.
I was wondering why they put so much focus on Thunders costume. Anyway this was a pretty solid episode that brings up a few questions about BL, his father and the truth behind his murder, Gambi, and Tobias Whale.
One little thing i noticed just now. When the older daughter is watching the video and sister comes in to get the jacket, watch when the sister leaves. Older sis tells her to close the door. The bedroom door opens OUTWARD, not inward. I have never seen a bedroom door open out into the hall. I've see closet doors doo that, but never a bedroom one.
I noticed that too. A small thing, but something that caught my attention. But like Geterman said, might go into a shared bathroom.
Finally watched the episode from two weeks ago. It was all right. That scene between Thunder and the newspaper dude was totally ripped off from DareDevil. I really wish I could see Tobias as a threat, but knowing he answers to someone just makes it hard to do so. Also, he needs to make up his mind which girl is going to follow him around, the white chick or his sister. It seems like every other scene is with the other one. As for the other daughter, the girl deserved to get her hand broken. She is the one that started the fight. Fucking little bitch. You get your ass beat and then run to mama for protection.
Yep, Lightning is usually followed by a little Thunder. Fairly decent fight scene between them, ouch. I only know bits about Lightning from animated series, but what's the deal with Gambi??? And his connection to Big Bad Gangster Chick? What "the Agency"??? Knew he was hiding the fact that Whale was in the picture but wondered why?
Well it's DC though. It can be any organization. Hell, for all we know, the fat lady could be this universe's Amanda Waller.
3 characters dead and 1 came back. Now we're getting into syfy and magic faster and better than Arrow.
Ugh, this episode was so horribly edited. There was no transition of time whatsoever between when Nyssa came home to tell her dad about the reporter dude and then when BL is with his wife to talk about her. Not to mention the pacing was just bad. The first half dragged on way too long while the second half was way too rushed. Then we have one of the worst Godfather-esque assassination scenes ever done. What the hell were they thinking? On the positive side, Gambi becoming the Shadow was pretty cool and he remains the most interesting character on the show. Lastly, the mother is pissing me off. "I want you to make my daughter a suit. Hey, you better not be making her a coffin!" Although, the scene with Jennifer was funny.
