Anybody here hit the sales last night and this morning? I did it for the first time and the last time this year. Wally World was a zoo, Macy's, Staples, and Target were all pretty mellow and sedate after Wally World. I honestly had a lot fun but I just don't think I can do this year after year and I met a family that did and they were quite happy to do so. They really lucked out, the computer at their house died and as circumstances would have it, it happened in the week during Black Friday, and they did catch an awesome deal on a new computer.

So did anybody else hit the sales?

 

I bought a Compaq laptop for $170. The laptop is actually pretty badass....but I had to wait 2 hours for it.


Black Friday is when the crazy folks come out....

 

I don't go to Black Friday. Though, I might go when it all dies down at around 5 P.M or so.

 

I went by Toys R Us around 3:30 AM on my way into my morning job at Home Depot. It was still kind of nuts there, but I was able to score the movies I wanted

 

Didn't go anywhere today, might go hit Target tomorrow and see if they still have anything interesting. Also picked up one Lightning Deal on Amazon yesterday (Brave 3-disc set for $9), and there's another I want on Sunday (couple of dollars off the Digimon Adventure s1 DVD set), but none of the other sales I've seen have featured anything that really appealed to me.

 

I don't even want to go to the post office today.

 

I missed out on that yesterday, so I went to TRU to pick it up for $15 (I figured with shipping, it would be $12-$13 total from Amazon, so not that much price difference

 

i went to wally world thursday night... insane. cops everywhere, a fire truck parked outside "just in case," and the aisles were insanely full. no deals on tfs for some reason.

 

Had to work last night at WM from 5:45pm to 2:45am. Stood for about 5 hours guarding a line for the $350 laptop. Passed them out then went to lunch. Came back and mostly moved a few pallets and did little else as it was kinda dead at that point.

Did manage to buy Borderlands 2 for $25 and Lego Batman 2 for $15 before work. The ones in the glass case were already at sale price.   After work went home got a shower and went to another WM where I got Dead Island for $10. Came home and went to bed.

 

I went last night. worst mistake I ever made. people kept smashing into me not saying excuse me. People were just throwing shit everywhere. It was annoying to the point I kept saying if one more person smashes into me and not paying attention, I'm swinging.

There were globs of people everywhere, all the registers were opens where swarms of people could be seen. and forget about trying to go anywhere near electroncs. there was over 300 people in that whole area. cops and security all over the places.

No more Black Fridays at shitty Wallyworld ever again. I left empty-handed anyway due to all the Avengers 8-packs being gone.

 

Wasn't planning on it, but I actually went out shopping today. Only went to Kmart and Walmart, and didn't get a whole lot. Grand total my list included a TMNT Dogpound figure (seven bucks), Sherlock Holmes:A Game of Shadows DVD (six bucks), TFP Cyberverse Megatron (ten bucks), TASM Ultra-Poseable Spider-Man figure (five bucks), Iron Man DVD (two bucks), and a can of coconut milk (two bucks). Only half of which were a part of the Black Friday sales.

 

I go just to watch people. Buuuttt I did get a $50 Nook, MW3 for $25, and FOC for $25, so those were nice. Plus Blu Ray Goldfinger for $3

 

Survival Tip for Black Friday: Don't go.

I have never gone to a store on Black Friday, and never will. Usually I'm working that day anyways, so at least I'm away from the chaos.

I was pissed though that Best Buy was selling a game that I was waiting to get once it was cheap enough (Sniper Elite V2). Luckily, Amazon was selling it for their price as well (15 dollars), so I ordered the following on Thanksgiving:

Sniper Elite V2- 15 dollars
Batman: Arkham City GOTY- 20 dollars
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit- 12 dollars

Best 47 bucks I've ever spent.   No hassles, no going to jail, no sales tax. I love getting brand new PS3 games for 1/3 the price (or less).

 

I went to Best Buy at about 8:30 AM. Grabbed Dishonored and Need for Speed Most Wanted for $55. Grabbed Halo 4 at Target for a friend's boyfriend. Then I went back home and slept.

 

Mom drug me to Walmart last night. Ugh

Tho I did come away with a couple $3 blue rays and seasons 1-3 of Fringe $10 a pop
(Gonna make her nab season 4 for me today)

Online I got extended lord of the rings blu ray collection and Indiana Jones collection for $49 each and cuz the demo was kinda fun the kinect marvel avengers fighting game for $25

Missed out on $25 NBA 2k13 last night tho. Kind of a bummer I guess

 

i'm a intimidatingly large person and i've gone to black friday in '09, 10 and 11. and each year people move out of the way when i pass through to get stuff.

im not going this year because i've have spent all my money buying a black Wii U. no regrets.

 

I was in and out in 2.5 hours at Wally World. Got 8 movies, 3 games, 2 sets of slow cookers, towels, and a new set of cookware

 

Got the PS3 bundle at Shopko last night. Seriously though, who wasn't offering that? Shopko, Radioshack, Best Buy, Wal-Mart (though WM was with a 160GB for the same price...)

All-in-all, I thought I scored an awesome deal. Can't wait to open it up.
