Has anyone decided to shop on Black Friday 2016? I haven't seen anything that really caught my eye to go out in a hurry and stand in line on Black Friday.
It's not even Black Friday anymore. It's Thanksgiving. We've been getting a lot of calls where I work for some toy called hatchimals. I guess that's going to be the big toy this year for all the spoiled little brats. We didn't get the NES classic but we did get the Atari and Sega Genesis one.
All i need is CoD IW for $57. Thankfully a Walmart opened near me a while back, and only old people shop there.
It's Black Thanksgiving now. Usually, my wife and I will come out on Friday afternoon when the mad rush ends to check out some deals at JCPenney for shirts and Target for DVD's, but I refuse to contribute to anything that causes people to work on Thanksgiving. It's sad that that sanctity of the Holiday is all but gone thanks to corporate avarice.
Where do u work? And I've been so disappointed with Black Friday these past years, people are just nuts on this day.
I guess that means you don't watch the parade or football, right? I've been doing Black Friday for many years. I've noticed how much it's changed. WalMart in particular has been figuring their shit out and handles it pretty well. Lots of good deals all around this year. I'm going to go through the ads and see if there's anything in particular I'll venture out for. Also, a lot will be online this year.
I've worked retail most of my life. I'm getting really sick and tired of hearing my fellow co workers bitching every year about working on Thanksgiving. The answer is simple, if you don't want to work on Thanksgiving then don't work retail. Go get a job at a bank where you get every holiday off.
I've been eyeing Best Buy's $599 deal for a Surface Pro 4 with keyboard and pen. Would be a hell of an upgrade over my Surface Pro 1, but I can't decide if I need it or not.
Just getting Star Trek Beyond and Captain America Civil War at Best Buy. The ads this year were lackluster to say the least.
Nothing caught my eye. Easy pass. The one thing i'd consider if low enough I haven't seen advertised and that is a Wii U. Mainly want it for stuff like Smash Bro, Mario Kart, and classic nintendo stuff. Even then it is more of an impulse buy. Nothing i really have to have. I haven't touched my xbox 360 for over 5-6 months. Not much of a gamer anymore.
Never again will I wait in some stupid line on Black Friday. I've done it three times and only once came out with anything worthwhile. It's all about Cyber Monday now. I stalk Amazon pretty much all day for awesome deals.
I've never gone anywhere on Black Friday. Having to deal with a stampede of pushy people as they head to the electronics department with that crazed look in there eyes like "my precious" as they're fighting over a tv...too much excitement lol But I might go this year just to see if something funny happens. Like if two adults have an all out WWE brawl over a children's toy... I feel for all the workers who have to break those fights up.
Yeah guess that's the best thing to do, just bring the popcorn I'm going to get a job in retail soon enough so if it's crazy at least I know it'll never be boring lol
I have never shopped on Black Friday in the past 20 years. Usually I am watching college football and hanging out with my family which I consider more important than trying to seeing if there is anything worthwhile to get trampled over.
