Would have been cool as a wide release. It would be sort of a "oh, yeah. We're supposed to do one of those" kind of thing, but cool nonetheless.

 

I REALLY wanted an animated Nemesis Prime/Black Convoy, but it looks like I won't be able to get one being limited to 300 units. Unless there's someone going to this that could snag me one.

Well, that's unfortunate. I'm a black convoy collector and an Animated fan, so I'll have a double gap, since there's no way that won't be eleventy billion dollars on the aftermarket.

 

What is with Takara and their Optimus Prime in ''Black Edition''? Why not simply call him Nemesis Prime and put a Decepticon logo?

The Autobot logo is not even molded in the toy like the Masterpiece mold...

 

Because there is actually fiction behind the Black Convoy.

 

Okay, my bad. Still a Pass, Animated didn't have a Black Convoy either.

 

Man, this looks nice, wish there could have been some kind of black Optimus in the Hydrostatic Sounblaster episode, so that we could have got a US release.

My advice unless you have some friend in Japan, is to get some paints, and read up on the guides here, I think there have been a few of these back when animated was big, I would prefer a repainted Cybertronian Version.

Oh ya I wish kids here still cared about toys enough for the US to do neat exclusives like this.

 

You mean you wish there was one on that episode so Hasbro could produce one, and have solicitations for it, but never actually come out with it like most of the later Animated stuff.

That's pretty slick. Love the Animated Prime mold, but I'll never have one these, too pricey.

Wouldn't surprise me to see Hasbro do their own version as an exclusive. Maybe a 2011 SDCC/HTS exclusive like they did before. Or maybe Fun Pub can somehow pull it off for the Club.
