Birthday was yesterday (w00t!), and when all was said and done, I ended up with the following prizes: CD Scattorshot (finally, I have the whole team!) Excellion (or Hot Rod) Thunderblast (still prefer Chromia) Soundwave (has some issues, not 100% satisfied with the workmanship) Downshift (slap a Decepticon sticker on his hood, and behold: Driveby! ) Cannonball (yar, maties!) Galvatron (actually got him last month, but he was an early b-day gift) Mudflap (a shelfwarmer in my area, but I've wanted him badly) Universe Spychanger Prowl (when my mom brought my birthday cake over, he was standing in the center of it. Apparently my cousin's son, who is living with my mom, opened it, threw away the bio card - sacrilege! - and lost the gun. Plus, I have that mold's original color scheme, so I gave him to my 2-year-old son.) Cell, by Stephen King (my one clueless relative with no knowledge of my love affair with Transformers) When out spending my b-day cash, I checked both Targets here in Lakeland, hoping beyond hope that Primus could still be gotten for $12. I only found one Primus with a squashed box, and the scanner said he was $50. So I skipped him, hoping I could pick him up sometime when my wife was in a REALLY good mood, or perhaps just wait for Christmas or clearance. All in all, though, a thoroughly great birthday!
Sounds like a pretty good haul. Well considering Primus just came out, I don't expect to see his price drop for a couple of months
NICE HAUL! Last year, for my birthday, my brother got me the Costco variant of RiD Optimus Prime & Ultra Magnus. It is still MISB on top of my entertainment center. It is hard to convince family to buy "toys" for someone who will be 30 in three years.
28? You young whippersnapper. At this point, the only things that keep my family from complaining about my collecting are that: 1) I collect MISB 2) I have over 20 years worth of packaged toys 3) I stopped rolling on the floor making laser gun noises many many years ago (I think the year was 2003...turning 30 was traumatic ). Congrats on the haul!!
