Alright, the "CHUG Repurposing" thread got me thinking about some of the characters I use in my collection that I'd like to repurpose to fit in the IDW-verse, so I came up with a few short bios that I may use for a short story in the future. I'd continue on with it there, but I feel like this is more in the realm of fan-fiction. So here we are, if this is too similar to the TF discussion thread for the mods, feel free to delete (I hope not). I will possibly add more of my ideas in the future, but please feel free to add in your own bios for characters to add to the IDW-verse.

    Cybertron Megatron= Underlord
Underlord came up in the criminal underworld alongside his friend Overlord, nick names the pair took on long since abandoning their original names. Serving as Overlord's manager for the pit fights overseen by Clench, after Overlord's many series of victories under his tutelage, Underlord allowed Overlord his independence and began to oversee the gambling aspects of Cybertron's underworld, living up to his name. Underlord and Overlord parted ways after Megatron's usurping of Clench, as he much prefers to operate in the shadows, watching the pit-fights making him money and silently fostering murderous talent for the Decepticons as a silent partner. Underlord is an avowed Unicron worshiper due to his fascination with the chaotic aspects of gambling, going so far as to have his arms painted and modified in a spectralist display in honor of the Chaos Bringer. Many have made the mistake of thinking Underlord kind, due to his seemingly giving nature, but few have lived who did not repay his generosity.

    Energon Megatron= White Shadow
While not a point one percenter himself, White Shadow was grown from the same cluster of sparks as Black Shadow and the two operated together as enforcers for anyone who needed a hired gun to kill or intimidate. Parting ways with Black Shadow when the war came to its head, White Shadow used his prestige as an impressively murderous enforcer for Underlord to retire from mercenary work and start dealing illicit substances like Nuke, Synthetic Energon, circuit boosters, circuit speeders, Energon stars, and any other drugs coming out of the Cybertronian underworld. Annoyed by his colleague Underlord's religion, White Shadow takes every opportunity to praise Primus that he can, despite the fact that the only thing White Shadow has any faith in are the drugs he sells and uses. An addict to his core, White Shadow had Omegatron modify his spark to allow Energon Stars to be attached directly to it, and even had him modify the body of a long-dead Autobot to act as both a second immune system for his many addictions, doubling as a very powerful fusion cannon, fueled by nuke.

    (Gen) Armada Megatron=Omegatron
Omegatron, a young esteemed scientist specializing in spark modulation, was assigned by Nova Prime on a mission in search of Micronus Prime, alongside seven other of Nova's best scientists and warriors, to The Armada. Omegatron's ship did not return to Cybertron until the early days of Sentinel Prime's reign, and when security officers in Cybertron's orbit requested The Armada check in, the ship opened fire, then purposefully crash-landing into the depths of Kaon. Stepping out wearing a conqueror's horned-helm, Omegatron emerged alone from The Armada, changed. Clenched in his fist was a chain, attached to which were a line of small robots, known as minicons. Successful in his mission, Omegatron had chosen to rule the tiny robots, enslaving them and using his knowledge of spark modulation to learn how to attach the minicons to his body, empowering him to match even the most powerful Cybertronians. Preferring to use his power in the shadows, Omegatron now controls all of the underground Cybertronian trafficking on Cybertron, working with White Shadow and Underlord in a loose alliance known as "The Triad".

I actually love these ideas. Underlord is particularly clever, and White Shadow seems like a great character.

Thanks! Doesn't seem too popular at the moment, but its as good of a place as any to store my errant ideas. I'm currently finishing writing my first novel, but when I get stuck I may come in here and add some more bios to get my brain moving.

Interesting that you'd be repurposing these characters in particular. I repurposed them too (I tend to do this a lot). I'm going to copy over a post I made in the "What is your Transformers headcanon?" thread:

That said, my thoughts on YOUR repurposing of the A-E-C Megatrons follow:

"Underlord" is a good, good name. Clever! (I don't personally like it as a co-name along with Overlord, but hey, that's just me.) His personality and background seem fine by me.

Making Energon Megatron into a partner of Blackshadow is cool, although originally Blackshadow DID have a partner: Blue Bacchus. Other than that, I really like the concept you've come up with for the White Shadow character.

    Omegatron is trickier...
    • First: His name is a little TOO badass. I mean, it's a good name, but I feel like it should the name of, like, Megatron mutated into a super-monster, or the master of all "-atrons", or something else.
    • Second: I have a hard time imagining that a tyrant who enslaves others to power himself up so much that he can "match even the most powerful Cybertronians" would also perfer "to use his power in the shadows." Those two ideas seem to clash. Perhaps it would work better if he experimented on himself to unlock the harnessing of Minicon power out of necessity? Like, because of the crash/stranding in an isloated location? Once he got out, he'd probably prefer to sell the Minicons to others as enslaved power-ups, himself working from the shadows (as he's a slave trader, after all).
    • Third: this character is a repurposing of which Armada Megatron? Generations Armada Megatron? Just want to make sure. So, this guy?
Why not regular Armada Megatron? Or both? They're supposed to be the same character, anyway... Right?

And finally, your Triad idea is pretty spiffy, man. Kudos!

Hey, thanks for the input! White Shadow and Underlord are characters I've been floating around in my head for a while, but Omegatron was a recent addition to the trio. To tell the truth, it was an excuse to keep the three in my collection as unique characters, they are three of my favorite character designs. The idea for Underlord came from the fact that I've been using Cybertron Megatron as my Overlord since I was about 15 or 16 (for my display I have him in a fan-mode with the purple wings acting as shoulder-spikes ala Overlord) but I recently purchased MMC's Carnifex and decided to think up a new purpose for the mold, so I wanted to keep them connected.

I had honestly forgotten about Blue Bacchus, but I will go ahead and update the bio at some point to include him, thanks for the reminder. I really like your input on Omegatron, his was the least thought out of the three bios and I had already thought about changing some details, but still intended on having him associated with the "Triad" all along. Oh, and I'm using the Generations mold at the moment, though I I would prefer that mold share more similarities with the original.
I am currently working on a piece of much more serious writing that is my primary focus, but I am almost finished with it, so this may become something fun I work on before I start on my next planned novel.

Cool, good to read about your thoughts. Interesting. Might I suggest "Regulus" as an alternate name for Omegatron?

An interesting name! I'm not sure what I'll change his name to as of yet, but I do plan to revise his bio and add a few more, looking at a figure and thinking up a story is a really good writing exercise.

Glad to be having this back and forth, it's fun! :D

    Terminus? (scary-sounding)
Downfall? (Goes well with "Underlord," but would be better for a flyer)
Rubicon? (Probably better for a femme-con)
    Tonitrus? (Latin for "thunder")
Infratron? Hexatron? (if you want an "-atron" name)
NeoZaran? (for a connection to MegaZarak & DesZaras)

(BTW, I like that Alan Moore is your avatar. He rules.)

All interesting ideas, I was toying around with the idea of having him start out with a different nerdy-scientist type name and then have him come back and rename himself Omegatron or something else high-and mighty to illustrate how power had made a once humble scientist into a conceited warlord with a fragile ego, maybe even adding in the character note that White Shadow or Underlord uses his old name to piss him off. I'm currently working on editing the last 50 pages of my book, so it may be a bit before I work more on this in earnest. Bear in mind, this is based off of figures in my collection and is intended to take place in the early days of the war, mostly using characters that aren't big in IDW or haven't been seen much in the flash backs we've seen of that era (Starscream is surprisingly absent then).

Other characters/molds I'm thinking about making bios for (no name changes yet):
Cybertronian Vice cops: GF Megalo Convoy, Universe Countdown, Energon Countdown, Landquake, HFTD Breacher, and the Cybertron Defense team trio.

    TRIAD ASSOCIATES

The Armada (The Triad's space fleet)

Armada Tidalwave (Armada Megatron's Ship) Micron Legends Shockwave
    Scientists/drug producers:
Cybertron Dirt Boss, Cybertron Menasor, ROTF Ratbat, DOTM Shockwave (as himself)
    Minicon Slaves
various, mostly non-characters, though the Generations team will be included as one of Armada Megatron's experiments.

Pit Fighters/Enforcers (They all hang around the pit fights):
    Beastformers:

E Divebomb, E Battle Ravage, Cybertron Brimstone, Cybertron Undermine, TR Skullsmasher. Experiments: Armada Cheetor, Terrorsaur, Rhinox, and Airrazor.
    White Shadow Dealers
Botcon Skyquake, Energon Starscream, E Mirage (w/Doomlock's sword), ROTF Mindwipe, E Slugslinger (w/E Insecticon's drill gun) , TR Triggerhappy
    Unicron Cultists/Debt Collectors:
Cybertron Deluxe Unicron, Generations Skullgrin, Galaxy Force Noise Maze, Universe Nemesis Prime (the big convoy repaint), Energon Dreadwing
    Bounty Hunters/Enforcers
ROTF Lockdown (himself), Dark Crumplezone, SDCC Nemesis Prime, CW Stunticons (as themselves)

Preexisting Characters I may use without rewriting much:
Galaxy Force Starscream as Starscream, Generations (FOC) Skywarp/Thundercracker, TR Rumble, MMC Carnifex (Overlord), CW Swindle (probably not the other combaticons), Galaxy Force Soundwave, MMC Terminus Hexatron Continuum (Sixshot), TR Rumble.

These are some loose ideas at the moment, I'll likely toy with their affiliations at some point.

Thanks for the interest, I'll likely be working on this a little bit more next week as I'm in the process of doing rewrites on a non-tf related book. Feel free to cross-post some of your own ideas and bios, my intent was to create a discussion thread rather than just post my own ideas but this part of the forum seems to move pretty slow.

Fullstop: "All aboard the Tank Express"!
Occupation: Troop transport and cargo carrier
Fullstop loves his job ,and the Autobots love him;he's half train, half tank and all power.
He has two loyal mini-cons, Slice and Dice who transform into Autobot buzzsaws/Tsmeu 6 personal wheel bikes AKA General grievous' wheel bike.

Slice & Dice: Lets rock and roll!
    Occupation: demolition and sabatoge
    Afilliation:Autobot

Slice and his brother were bulit by the Functionistof this universe and put into the Manual class...... let's just say that they didn't really like it:thumbdown  . So anyways, after the twins left they lived on the streets and Slice had a bad case of the Scraplets:(  :cry  .
Before the war, they were found by Fullstop who took them in as his "sons" and were upgraded to the wheel bikes.
When attached as buzz saws the bike turrets become shoulder mounted turrets and can be deployed from their flatbed when Fullstop is in train-tank mode.

Might interest you to know that Omegatron was the name given to the Omega Supreme mold here in Ireland and the UK when it was released here in different colours and as part of the Grandstand Convertors toy line.

Shame I didn't realise it back then or that the black Perceptor my best friend had would years later become a Transformer character himself.

BumbleJacker: I'm not Bumblebee. ..... I only look like him.

Born for the same body type of this universe's Bumblebee, because of that he was dubbed "Bumblejacker" as a joke and the name stuck. Bumblejacker looked up to the veteran mini-bot and became sort of a "big brother" to him. Although he admires Bumblebee, he doesn't like being confused for looking like him.He also goes by the name Hornet

Abilities : Bumblejacker is actually a triple-changer by accident; while he scanned his vehicle mode , a hornet flew onto the car he was scanning and gained the DNA of the insect as well as the form giving him the name Hornet .
He able to transform into a hornet he can also shrink to the size of a nano-mite and shoot paralysis stinger needles that have different effects.

Weakness : as a side affect of being a Techno-organic, BJ'S transformation can get a little. ..... wonky:oops:  he sometimes would be a robot with bug parts or a bug with robot parts but his favorite is when he in robot mode and has an insectoid head which helps him see more than with his actual head.
