Here's a thread for a slightly obscure toyline wich apparentally was more popular in Europe than in the US. If you don't know what is this awesomeness called Biker Mice From Mars is,take a look:Biker Mice from Mars - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I've recently acquired a package with a whole bunch of figures and accressories.
    So,discuss away!

Necrothread resuscitation... It looks like Nacelle plans to bring this toyline back. Details seem pretty thin at the moment, but I just saw this post on Instagram:

I have vague recollections of them...never had any toys, though. I must have been in my mid to late teens or something when they were relevant. Hopefully Nacelle gets some traction with some of these obscure toylines they are attempting to resurrect.

Ya, the show was on in 93 I think? I only had one of the toys, kinda felt like it was trying to riff off the tail end of tmnt’s popularity like a lot of other toylines at the time. I don’t remember the show clearly. I guess my nastalgia for it is tied up with all the non-tmnt toylines of that time period, kinda like streetsharks and such.

I’m definitely not against a revitalization of a lot of that stuff. Swat Kats, street sharks, that kind of thing

Nacelle apparently bought the full rights to Biker Mice and is developing a cartoon.

I have to say, I LOVE their documentaries.

But I'm skeptical of their business strategy.

Their Sectaurs are 7 POA and $30 a piece. I barely remember Sectaurs.

Most of their figures lack articulation and have awkward joints and sculpts. Their Biker Mice look like pre-Marvel Legends Toy Biz, practically, or vintage Bravestarr.

Oddly, their best looking lines IMHO are their Power Lords revival (which I only have vague childhood memories of one figure from) and their stand-up comics line. And they seem to have re-sculpted the comedian likenesses completely since the original solicits, which is a plus.

But Joan Rivers, Lenny Bruce, and Bill Hicks were all "old school" when I was born.

I feel like they're aiming more for late 70s kids or even 60s kids rather than 80s/90s kids.

I scratch my head a bit over every toyline they’ve revealed so far. They’ve opted for some pretty obscure stuff…and then pile subpar execution on top of it. I saw a prototype of one of their Power Lords figures at Power Con last year, and the sculpt looked really impressive…so they’ll probably give her 5 POA…lol.

New Biker Mice stuff? I'll definitely be keeping my eye on this, since the original figures are hard to find and expensive in a good, complete state.

    Good lord...I was 20. :lol

I remember seeing the toys, but as with all of the other non TMNT stuff on the shelves, I just considered them all to be copycats.

    Biker Mice

The Biker Mice from Mars are up for preorder at the Nacelle Store.

Honestly, I may wait for BBTS to get them before I decide. BBTS will likely raise the price by about $4 each, making the price versus Nacelle shipping to be about the same but BBTS won't charge until they're in-stock.

I'm a little iffy on elements of the sculpts (those blocky elbows) and I think I count 18 POA but I can't see the knees very well and I don't see any arm swivel, either at the bicep or elbow.

I just got an email from Nacelle and was coming in here to post the same thing! $36 each or $108 for all three is actually a little less than I think I expected. And yeah…the articulation details are a little vague.

The price isn't bad considering the license, but yeah some more pics showing articulation, or literally anything besides standing straight up with arms down would be nice. Even when they're holding the weapons, the arms are in the same exact position. I can't say I remember the cartoon or toys much but 1 accessory seems a little slim too.

I'd also like a sense of the type of plastic they'll be using, which renders are lousy at representing.

FWIW, their Robo Force figures are made of some pretty good stuff. I would compare the feel to S7 Ultimates figures. I don’t know if that will translate over to the mice, of course, but they seem intent on making sturdy stuff. It will be interesting to see how their Sectaurs figures turn out.

Damn...one of the many TMNT knockoffs that I missed as I was too old by that point.

    Not bad though.

The price is ok, but i find myself agreeing with your comments. I've decided to contact them and ask about the pictures and articulation. If i get an answer i'll post it here.

Biker Mice are apparently 15 POA according to Nacelle.

They said they'll be adding helmets based on feedback and that demand was strong enough to make the motorcycles before wave 2.
