Just bought a Big Red pop/soda and I had Optimus Prime staring back at me. I haven't seen a thread about this so I think it's new. If there is any credit to be given please give it to EMP Starscream as his question in GD made me buy the Big Red in the first place.
While this is cool, I've got a paper box downstairs full of Phantom Menace cans I've done nothing with. No desire to get any of these. Don't drink Big Red anyways.
Why are they only using Bee and Optimus for marketing, why not the Dinobots, Hound, Drift, Crosshairs, or Lockdown.
Big Red was created in Texas in 1937 but was known by a different name. It was only sold in Texas and the Louisville, Kentucky area until the late 1970s, when it started expanding throughout the southern United States. Dr. Pepper bought a minority interest in the company in 2008 and they now distribute it to even more locations, including the UK.
This is old news. I've already gone through a case. http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-movie-discussion/986002-aoe-big-red-soda-cans.html
The only use Bee & Optimus for EVERYTHING, EVER, because they're the "main characters." Marketing can't keep up with a show originally conceived as an elaborate commercial. Irony!
Would have been more interested if there was a selection of characters....but since its just prime and bee again...no thank you
I would love to have these cans, but I have never heard of big red soda in my life. I only know the chewing gum. Must be a regional product from middle america. Im in miami where alot of small brands dont never show up.
