You're not wrong. I even sat through the whole of Romancing the Stone earlier! I've basically been prowling eBay during my more lucid moments. Saw that OP for sale and was instantly baffled.
Oh the humanity! I hope I'm not being a 'tard here, but this is a KO right? It has no trailer sticker and they were factory applied, were they not? I've searched eBay for other MISB G1 Primes and they all have a factory applied trailer sticker. If I'm wrong I must look quite the fool...
100% sure it's a KO judging by the un-stickered trailer - they were always factory-applied on the original.
That bidder must either be a shill bidding pal of the seller or someone who is about to feel very very disappointed.
This is the reply the seller gave to me when I asked if it's a KO: Dear thenames9, Hey! It is copyright 1984 Hasbro on the back of it - so I believe it is genuine! Thanks - jonpluslee
Reported it last night, and messaged the seller giving him the benefit of the doubt. He's responded asking how I knew it was a KO, the way it's phrased makes it look like he knows, and is looking for ways to hide it being a fake.
Poor bidder, but part of me thinks they deserve it for being so unquestionably gullable (and for the fact that they dare to have £300 to drop on a toy. Rich Get.) I also have some (Genuine!) stuff for sale!
