Has anyone come across the full size combiner KO's from Polyfect toys at Big Lots? They have a yellow Devestator, Superion, the combiner from season 3, can't remember his name, but one of his members was a two headed dragon, damn can't remember his name...Decepticon. They had him, and a few others, one of which was a Voltron KO. They also sold some of them in two packs on cards. They were pretty cool, the two packs were $4, can't remeber how much the sets were....probably $10? Anyone else seen these??? I wish they had the red and blue or yellow and blue carded ones like these from Polyfect toys. I still need the WST sized Defensor and Menasor. If anyone has them or any in general and wants to sell, PM me......
Yes, but these are made from Polyfect, and I have about 8 of thier combiners. They are not Hasbro quality, but pretty good.
You probably mean Abominus Hun-Gurr's the two headed dragon I wonder if this is similar to earlier KO sets though, those came with 2 Technobots instead of the rest of the Terrorcons.
I bought the yellow devy today from big lots. I am taking it back tomorrow. Like the other guy said, it is not worth the 8 dollars I paid for it.
It is extremely cheap. I only pulled out Scavenger, the legs flooped immediately (it was in alt mode). The head didn't move at all. I took a closer look at the other figures in the package and their heads seemed the same way. And if Scrappers head is stuck in the up position, how will he be able to be stable in leg mode. I have a ko Superion I bought a few years ago that is way better quality to this.
I consider these like watching some of a really bad bootleg of a movie. It's not a really good experience, but it could give you an idea of whether you want the real thing if you've never experienced them before. Using some of the accessories could give you a quick-fix to fix a G1 combiner since the loss of detail in the hands, feet, and maybe some guns aren't too noticeable. Defensor is particularly awful, with Superion's incredibly bad stickers ranking him a close second. I bought the green Devastator years ago thinking I could use some of the pieces to repair my busted old G1 bots. It's a decent idea of what Devy is all about for a really cheap knock off, but I couldn't use it. Really crummy screws instead of pins in the wheels tell you what you're getting. The Car Robots Baldigus from the same line is surprisingly close considering what it is, I assume because it was produced as those toys were in stores instead of decades later.
shockblast2 what state are you in? i wouldn't mind getting a ko superion and abominus just for display.
I have the BL Yellow Devestator and got it for under 10 bucks. It is pretty cheap and floppy but since I only paid ten bones and only planned on using it as a stand in until I either got a original G1 or reissue, I had no problem using some crazy glue to keep it all secure in gestault form.
I also found a mini G1 Devastator a while back at Tuesday Morning for $5, and that was a good buy, fits in nice with my trypticon display and with my legends figures.
I bought a Biglots KO Devastator in 2004 and he was of pretty decent quality (not quite hasbro, but 80-85% as good), I displayed him for a while until a friend decided to mess with him and break him (due to stupidity of friend more so than cheapness of toy) then I bought one last year (expecting the same) and it was garbage. The plastic is less sturdy and the figures have been overly simplified to reduce production costs....don't buy them lol.
Wait, wait, wait. You bought a knock off. Knowing it was a knock off. And expected better than knock off quality? "I bought a Barbie today. I'm returning it tomorrow because it's not a GIJoe."
I saw some of the yellow KO constructicons at the Big Lots by my house. They came in a 2 pack. I'd have to have spent $12 to get all 6, but I passed on them because they didn't include all parts to form Devastator lol. Such crappiness within crappiness
