My wife laughed at it but she also has half of a detolf dedicated to her favorite anime man so we’re pretty chill with that kind of stuff.

I only got rid of mine because I didn’t think she was much fun to mess with and $200 in my wallet was more appealing.

That said, I’m still in for EX02 because that looks much more interesting.

That's part of it. My wife may be repressed but at least a few of her friends aren't. It's not so much about sex being bad as it is about objectification and male gaze and all that. I still don't really understand why the same people who tell us not to shame people for their kinks or slut shame a woman for dressing how she wants can also disapprove of a figure like this. I mean, yes, it was designed by a man for the male gaze (I assume - I dunno, maybe the designer is a woman). But if there were somehow a real female robot who chose to look like this, that wouldn't be inappropriate. I also previously mentioned in this thread how a friend's wife has stupidly gigantic breasts (she actually got them reduced last year but that's beside the point) and how nothing about her gigantic natural breasts meant that she was sexualized just for existing with them but if I were to draw or sculpt a similarly proportioned woman or write a character with humongous hungolomghnonoloughongous, it would clearly be because I'm a perv. I agree: people are weird.

Oh trust me... I understand objectification and the male gaze. And I do understand not wanting to constantly be objectified... But there's a point where taking a stand against objectification just goes too far. It reminds me of people complaining that female super heros are sexualized while totally forgetting that male super heros are too. And it's okay!!!

 

Don't cancel yours it's completely unique enough to be different from The files I was offering that @XIII fixed up and @NothingHead physically printed them all out himself, trust me. That head came in like almost 23 parts he had to assemble and glue together himself not to mention sand down and paint. just like @Zyros head is completely different from the official one I was send. he made that file from scratch and printed his out too. just like you are willing to do. All 3 heads are uniquely their own. So please again, don't cancel all that hard work you've done already.  

Yup that's from the files i gave to @NothingHead that @XIII worked on as well. That's his custom work totally right there. I recognize his paints and sand work anywhere not to mention those visors as I got the exact same head from him as well.

Heh. Sorry if I gave the impression I was cancelling. No, I just needed a break so I haven't worked on it the past week. I swear if I didn't have these blah periods, I could get so much done. What I was saying before was that, if the fixed head had been available, I'd have felt silly for doing the fixes myself, but I've already done the fixes and moved on to customizing it to my tastes (bigger eyes) and I'm ready to start on extra faces expressions. I need to experiment a bit, though, and see if I can make the face swapping simpler so the whole head doesn't have to come apart.

 

I'd say do it similar to how BFBT's comes apart at the brow. This way if folks really want to get a serious bang for their buck as a special feature, they can swap faces with their official BFBT Nicee head faces that already come with their figure if they so desired. Then your heads would truly be not only their own thing but cross-compatible with the real deal as well (as sort of a Easter Egg kinda thing).   Just a thought.

If you need clues as to how BFBT's function, here you go. (Again the main parts of their head's are all screwed and seemingly fused together via their factory). It may be tedious but I truly believe you can do this same thing with yours:

I’m just going to say this: that it’s absurd to dismiss the objections of all these partners as sexual repression. I know that my wife, at least, has no problem with sex or sexy. The problem, as Snaku’s wife noticed, is pornification. Porn reduces a character to a mere assemblage of sex organs, which is exactly what happened here, with all semblance of poor Arcee being gradually stripped away to become the characterless Nicee. And as for the old ‘but males are depicted sexy too’ argument: this might be valid if both genders were starting from the same point, but, as the saying goes, ‘there’s nothing more unequal than the equal treatment of unequals.’ Sexist people think females are there just to reproduce: not to be lawyers, not to be CEOs, not to be Leader of the Autobots; just to be sexy. It's belittling. Males, on the other hand, can be anything: lawyers, CEOs, Leader of the Autobots; and if they happen to be sexy too, it’s a happy bonus but not essential to their fundamental roles. It's empowering.



Like I said, I don’t think we need to rehash these arguments, but if you’re still in doubt about how and why this toy can be perceived as offensive, I urge you to re-read the DMs we exchanged during the original controversy. To everyone else who's prepping for a flame war, consider: does your opinion on this toy come from a line of reasoning or from your emotion / lust? If it's the former, make sure your argument hasn't already been flogged to death before you waste everyone's time posting. If it's the latter, there's nothing I or anybody can do to reason you out of your opinion, so don't expect a reply.

You're preaching to the wrong person here... I am Woman... I also have a wife (and a husband and a bf if that matters). So you don't need to tell me what difficulties are placed upon many women that some men are not aware of.

There was a special edition version which had been released? I'm surprised that they didn't release a green and blue version.

Now the black version coming out...that is really nice. Repainting the pink strips to a dark yellow and replace the head, and now...you have Batgirl!
