Don't get it? You're not alone. What's fun about a building? You got me. I've always been unreasonably fixated on the Office Building Transformer from the movie BIG. This is my rendition of that Titan-Class monster in Fun Size. I designed him in Sketchup and printed via Shapeways in White Versatile Processed. I'm still refining the model, but when it's ready I'll offer it in my Shapeways shop. I wanted to follow the original's transformation scheme as closely as possible, but given the space limitations, I had to improvise. Aside from the head retracting, this is not how the movie one works, but I'm pretty happy with it. Shown for scale, World's Smallest Transformers Optimus Prime, BotBot Latte Spice Whirl This little guy definitely wants to be BIG, but this will have to do for now.
Nice little bot you made. It's got a cute little front door. But ummm... I will not be knocking on that door ever. I do not want to know what kind of BIG surprise comes flopping out to greet me.
Thanks everyone! I'm happy that you all like him. Thanks! I almost put this in the original post. lol He certainly needed a few people to stick up for him in that meeting with Josh. Right on! Thanks. You should see his truck dock. Sort of. lol Right back at ya, my guy!
Here's a breakdown of the parts as they currently are The F on the crotch piece is to remind me which way it faces during assembly.
Thank you! I have no plans to replace him with a line of giant robot insect transformers, so he will be available soon. lol Big mood.
lol I've been planning the full-sized build for years. I've partly figured out what the head and arms are from (a "Saturn Robot" vintage robot toy) Thanks! I didn't think of him being a BotBot when I designed him, but he fits in nicely.
