International collectors, are you considering ordering your TFs from TFSource? Then DON'T.

I placed an order for a Masterpiece Ramjet way back in February of this year.

REASON NUMBER ONE YOU SHOULD NOT ORDER: Said Takara "recall" of the stock is a LIE.

As most of you know, TFSource claimed that they sent their stock back to Takara. I emailed Takara Tomy multiple times and they confirmed that this "recalling" never happened. I don't know who fixed their Ramjet's shoulders but the company they claim did so (TT) certainly didn't...

And they left us there waiting and waiting for the Ramjets to be "sent back from Takara". I kept waiting for FOUR WHOLE MONTHS until finally I got a notification that my Ramjet was available.

REASON NUMBER TWO YOU SHOULD NOT BUY: They treat international customers like s***

After I paid them with my credit card and the transaction went as smooth as it gets (my bank said they did an address verification and everything was fine) - and again this was after leaving me there waiting for four months - they said they would cancel the transaction for the following reason: they said they don't trust a customer from my geographical location paying with a credit card (later they claimed that they do this to ALL international customers on their first transaction). As a result of their playing with my bank I was fined a currency conversion fee of €15,77 that they DON'T WANT TO REFUND ME!!!!!!!!!!

REASON NUMBER THREE YOU SHOULD NOT BUY: Their "Discounted" international shipping is another LIE

I bought Ramjet from Big Bad Toystore (really professional and AWESOME people!!!) and the full shipping cost that BBTS charged me was in fact LESS than the "discounted" shipping from TFSource!!! And yes, shipping method was the same: USPS Express Mail.

So, if you are an international customer and don't know where to shop for your masterpiece needs, keep in mind what happened to me.

You can see I am in no way affiliated with them. I buy all my TFs from Hobby Link Japan because I don't like to pay any "markups" and buying from the US or from Japan makes no difference to me. This was the first time I bought from BBTS because Ramjet was relatively more difficult to get than the average MP and due to TFSource leaving me waiting for a toy they had no intention of selling me, my options were really limited.

What's so funny about me getting scammed?

I remember a while back emailing TFSource to get some prices for international shipping, and they could not tell me, and didn't seem to care to find out.

Sounds like they have shit customer service.
If that part is true, about lying about sending toys back, while they hired someone to open MISB boxes/toys, then people need to know about that shit, as it means you are buying a second hand toy once they have opened that box at full retail price.

Any collector who wants MISB would be pissed off to find out about that sort of practice.
What is your source/confirmation that they did this?

For the record, I've never been a fan of BBTS and I've had nothing but positive experience with TFSource.

 

I have to agree. TFSource has always been helpful and friendly with any issues I've had with orders which is why I will continue to shop with them.

 

TFSource never responded back about my MP-06 with a broken tailfin, so I never shopped there again.

Captured Prey sent me a wrong MP, and never responded back either. Maybe both emails I sent went to SPAM? One never knows.

What I'd like to know is, who is this "kid" they supposedly hired to fix the Ramjets? I mean, if you're going to accuse someone, there should be some proof if you want people to believe you. Posting up your facebook profile doesn't do much to prove any of your accusations OP.

On a side note, do you have any screenshots of the e-mails you've sent to Takara? I'd like to see those too because right now, your title is correct. I don't believe your story.

I know tfsource will cancel your order for inquiring info on a shipment. They did it to me when their delay of their shipment for mp soundwave. several people, including me kept inquiring when they would finally get a shipment in. After all the other webstores had sold out i got an email about my order being cancelled. They never would answer anyone. At the time a fellow collector helped me get one but i swore them off to this day.

I e-mailed Takara to ask them. At first they didn't reply. Then they said "the item is a Takaratomymall.com exclusive. We don't have special arrangements with other store and are unaware of the situation you are describing."

So I am assuming someone else did the shoulder fix since Takara obviously did not. I posted on their Facebook page and they hid my comment so that only I can read it.

To the others being rude with me:

1) I signed up here to post my feedback about TFSource. I am not a BBTS employee. You can believe what you want. I gave my Facebook profile to show that I am a real person and not a BBTS employee. Why would I spend all this time writing on two dozen forums and Facebook pages if I didn't feel like I do (robbed)? It's only €15,77 - not a lot of money - but it is still money that was stolen from me. There is no other word to describe what TFSource did. If you guys don't believe me, why not ask a rep from TFSource to show that I am lying? I mean on points 1 and 3 all they would need to show is postal receipts from Takara that they shipped back the Ramjets to them and a quote from USPS showing what the actual shipping charges are vs the $56 they charge to ship 2x Ramjets. They will not provide this proof because they are the ones who LIE.

2) To those who had a pleasant experience with TFSource: good for you. I suppose you are from the US, right? The word "racist" makes you laugh? "Racism" is never funny. Maybe I should have used the word "prejudice" but whatever the word we use the point is: they denied me service based not on anything I did or didn't do but just because of who I am (my nationality). I call that racism. What do you call it?

3) I am sorry about the stupid clickbait title. I do SEO for a living and whenever I post on forums, I make sure to use titles that will rank high in Google. It's like a "professional handicap". If that offended anyone here, I apologize.
