Was looking at my Henkei Starscream last night and I noticed that he has two left legs!! (and i'm not using the old cliche that he can't dance either.)

I got two left sides to the upper portion of his leg (the part that slides out during transformation)

That leaves him with one knee that bends correctly and a "trick knee" that bends the opposite way.

Don't get me wrong either, I still LOVE this version of Starscream and I think he is BY FAR superior to the Hasbro version. I HIGHLY recommend getting him if you don't already own him.

It just kinda sucks because I got him at Big Bad Toy Store and he came from overseas so it's not like I got him at the local Walmart and I can just walk in and exchange him for being a defective item.

I was able to do this with hasbrotoyshop.com I got a Ramjet missing a landing gear nipple and they exchanged him no questions asked even though he was open.

So this is just a heads up....beware. Also, does anyone know off hand what Big Bad Toy Store's exchange/return policy is?

 

Their return policy is pretty good actually.

And my Henkei Grimlock had some bad chrome damage to him...

 

I ran to double check mine and he is fine. Sorry to hear that man.

 

Hmmm...I have a feeling this is more like the case with Alt Kitty Ravage with his two feet of the same side (did not affect all toys; mine was fine) rather than Classics tank Megatron (did affect all the toys, but he was merely misassembled).

 

trust me, write to bbts and tell them what happened. I bet you'll be surprised what they say

I know they have their issues, but customer service is not one of them.

 

Just got my response from BBTS!! Let me be the first to say: BBTS IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!

I DEFINITELY recommend shopping at BBTS!! They were FAST and they handled my situation in the most perfect way possible.

The prices may be a little higher than some other places but, the items you recieve are almost always in perfect shape and the way they handle customer service is worth a couple of extra dollars!!

WAY TO GO BBTS!!

 

Now you have to update that cool sig of yours and get Blandscream swapped out for the Henkei!

 

My Screamer's paint job is less than perfect in a couple areas, but it's hard to tell, and I'm sure it's par for the course.

 

I like that!! "Blandscream". The Hasbro version is definitely bland compared to the Takara version.

First "Greenscream" and now "Blandscream". LOL

I don't want to make it seem like I'm attacking you because you certainly have a right to your opinion but, compare the Takara painted face to the Hasbro unpainted version and you'll NEVER look at the Hasbro one the same again!!

Takara one is superior.....especially when you have it in-hand rather than looking at pics.

 

Mines good. I love the paint aps on him, so much better than Hasbro's.

 

Yeah I was still happy with my Henkei Starscream even though he had two left legs.....he's THAT good.....So good I was willing to overlook such a bad defect.

Now let's hope Takara gets the rights to do their own versions of Skywarp (even though the Hasbro one is nearly flawless.) and dare I say Thundercracker.

 

Cartoon accurate decos of G1 Starscream look shitty in toy form. TFC Starscream prooved it, Henkei SS comfirms it.
