First time you see Drift he's standing on the rock, in which he then does a back flip and turns into the helicopter.

 

Both right. The Bugatti was indeed shown first, but Drift was shown turning into his helicopter mode before there was anything shown that linked him to the car.

 

Fair enough, though the color scheme pretty firmly connects him to the Bugatti anyway.

 

would been nice. Human Alliance figures would be the only AoE stuff that could even get my money. Drift, Crosshairs, Hound… Stinger… Leader Galvatron. All you need.

Only if he shows up in the next movie and he actually utilizes the helicopter mode in it. But if he changes vehicle modes, he'll likely just have one deluxe toy of the new vehicle that doesn't triple-change.

 

I second the wish for an actual triple-changer Drift. But I would also accept a "Duocon" Drift that combines a helicopter and a Bugatti into his robot mode...

 

I wish Voyager Drift had been a completely new design. Maybe when TF5 comes out, they'll release him as a triple-changer.

Yeah it was pretty lazy, especially as they did bother to do a new mood for the 1-step helicopter.

 

Plus the badge on his chest that says 'Bugatti'  

 

Honestly...a new mold of the movies 1st triple changer would not have been a lot to ask for.

The chopper was just car parts anyway. Have a lazy choppe Tmation, with a post that pops up and swords plug in for rotors.. could have been done.
