so I have a lot of Transformers that I am going to be selling. Trying to refine my collection I guess. Normally I go about selling them on eBay, which I do enjoy.

The thing is I can never tell whether it's better to sell them in bulk or individually. Any thoughts?

    Thanks!

If you just want to get rid of them and don't care about how much money you get, then sell them as a lot. Otherwise take the time to sell them individually.

Try selling them as a set. Bundle the figures that you think will not sell individually to the figures that are most wanted by collectors.

Cruel tactic for single character collector's like myself, I hate it to no end...but alas! I guess is all about strategy.
I've noticed several bundles like that in ebay, and I always end up not buying the lot even though I would have paid a much higher price for the ONE item than the price the seller would get for it as part of the lot.

So yes, from the buyer point of view, I vote for single item listings...

Listen to motor master above. If you just want them gone for a reasonable amount, do a few big lots. If you want the most money possible, list them individually.

You can do both. Sell them individually and also sell special sets, like wreckers or seekers or something like that.

I'd also say; don't expect to make money on these things.

Every once in a while, a figure will sell for more than you paid but don't hold your breath. :)  Even the bad TFs bring us some fun and entertainment. If you get anything back when you resell them, it's a pure bonus.

Yeah I've had good and bad sells in the past. There are just so many this time that I figured I'd get some tips first.

    Thanks!

Wait...so you enjoy selling on eBay? Since you enjoy it, sell them individually so you can have more enjoyment... In fact, let me send you a bunch of figures I want to get rid of and I'll let you enjoy the shit out of unloading it for me! Whaddaya say?

Yup if you bought it for $10 and sold it for $3, consider the $7 you "lost" the cost of enjoying the figure while you had it.
