Not a huge fan of greenscream, either. However, I'd love to see one painted more like the traditional F-15 colors. Especially now that they're back in use.

Ban's Arcee art. Whether or not you like it, I think it's fantastic.


It would be a dream come true to see all of these designs make proper appearances in a proper TF anime.

 

The Devastator one looks misproportioned and the Bumblebee one is... Okay, I guess. It's more faithful to the G1 toy with the back wheels at the shoulders.

The Arcee one is too disturbingly sexualized for my taste. But so is the TFP design.

And finally, Prime and Starscream's designs are fine.

My favorite Beast Machines design, a pity it was never used in the show:



Would have made a neat vehicon/drone or something. The official design is cool, but I like this design too. (Better even.) Large flame tank, with glowing cyclops eye that moves made a really neat toy.

 

Most of the BM toy designs were better than the animation models. That show is one of the big reasons I prefer the animators actually look at the toys and closely base the animation design on the toys. Because what's the point of Hasbro paying for a half-hour toy commercial if the characters on the show don't look like the toys they're meant to promote?

And it actually was used as Quake (in Quake's colors) in the 3H comics.

 

I just think they should have used both. Both are good. But, I agree, the animation should reflect what's on the show, not the other way around. The toys is/are what they're selling, after all.

Ah, I see, I haven't read the comics. I was mostly referring to the BM show itself.

Edit: I like both designs, and one of the reasons why I like both designs is that it ended up reminding me a lot like this: (The second version.)

Which, as you remember all three figures were remade in the generations' line. (Hasbro's versions that is.) So, that means we actually sort of got all three of these wonderful figures remade as official Transformers. And, I think that's quite awesome.
