Which season did you enjoy more? While I liked season 2 for the most part, I really enjoyed what season 1 did. There wasn't a story arc, but nearly all the episodes were interesting. The only episode I didn't like that much was Metal Attraction. It did a decent job at establishing the characters. Starscream was much better in the first season than the second. I will say season 2 had it's fair share of good episodes. The latter part of the season starting with New Recruit was good. I also thought Crossfire and Triangulation were good. It gave us Smokescreen, one of the better characters on the show. I also started liking Ratchet and Bulkhead more.
I like both seasons for their ups and downs, good moments and bad. Picking one over the other, hmmm...for me, I liked more episodes in S1, but S2 had several later episodes that were more action sequences...heck...a tie. No choice for I liked both.
I'm leaning towards season 1 because it didn't raise my expectations for interesting plot lines and then drop them into the dirt. Plus it felt more character driven than random plot device of the week, let's hunt for it (though there were still a lot of random relic episodes).
Season 2 is where Miko started taking steps to being less annoying. True, they're baby steps, but still. Better than the constant annoyance that she was in Season 1. Also better fights, new characters, and a finale that took nearly half the season to set up, as opposed to the ass-pull that is Unicron.
Season 2. It just seemed... better. Plus it had more Wheeljack, Dreadwing, and Smokescreen (Although not so much Breakdown )
Season 1 was great for its own reasons, but it was "scrambling" to get things established, or at least known/mentioned. Season 2 had things set up, and booked it down the field with what it had. I like both for their own reasons, but Season 2 takes it for me.
