Who do you feel are the best of the best MP STYLE (whatever YOU feel that is) official and third party cons?
I value your suggestions as I'm looking to pick up a few next year.

As noted several times already, PLEASE REFRAIN from arguing with others choices about what you think is/is not MP quality. It's really not hard to do.

Just recommend the toys you think deserve to be on a list of great MP style 3P and official CONS, and don't hassle other people's choices. That is a misuse of this thread.

    ENOUGH ALREADY!
Please stop, there are LOADS of other threads where you can do that.
Or go make the "complain-acon" thread.

-Fanstoys Insecticons (lots of diecast for their size)
-Takara MP-29 (gets the legs right and nails the look well)
-Any of the three MP Reflectors are great choices
    -Apollyon or Despotron
-Hasbro MP-02 is a good deal
-Ocular Max Jaguar (bigger and better looking than the puny Takara offering. I can't wait for MMC to tackle the rest of the Decepticon tapes)

Depends on what you're looking for, tbh.

Personally, I think if you go for any of the following you won't be disappointed:
    Tyrant, by DX9(MP Galvatron)
    Quakewave, by FansToys(MP Shockwave)
    Despotron, by Maketoys(MP Megatron)
    Mightron, by DX9(MP Megatron)
The Toyworld Coneheads look VERY promising, although you might want to wait for reviews on those.
If you don't already have him, the official MP Soundwave is a great toy, although if you can find a good deal on the Hasbro version you might want to track that one down, as it comes complete with all 5 Cassettes.

As far as MP-style Insecticons and Reflector, that's a really tough one that ultimately boils down to your personal taste. There's good options for both though, but only from 3P at present.

These are both solid lists, (although some on ubik's list aren't even out yet). With Megatron, I don't think you have a bad choice between DX9, MT, Takara (new), or XT. It just depends on what you want in a Megatron, but MP-05 is a bad choice. Same with Shockwave. I went FT for the Insecticons and Reflector, and MP13 is just a really good figure.

I have TW Requiem (Dirge) it is a great figure, but not right for my collection. If you don't mind big, it's a decent option.

And funny enough I have Takara-Tomy's MP Soundwave, but Hasbro's cassettes.

    My advice for Decepticons is
    Fanstoys Insecticons
    Fanstoys Quakewave(Shockwave )
    Maketoys Visualizers(Reflector )
    KBB Seekers
    Unique toys Provider (Octane)
    DX9 Astrotrain
DX9 or Maketoys Megatron (I went with CW Megatron with X2 upgrade kit myself ;)  )
    Clonedroid Sixshot aaaaaannnndd
    MMC Carnifex

Taobao. Someone just wanted the Hasbro Soundwave and sold the rest, I picked up the cassettes for like 40 USD.

None of these three things are mp decepticons. Neither in aesthetic or scale.

    I thought Hanzo was Sixshot?

Not strictly a D'con but DX9 Terror aka SG Rodimus is a fantastic figure and the mold looks awesome in the Skywarp color scheme. I really like KFC Transistor too as blaster.

I think the case is arguable for Carnifex; although I would hasten to point out that MP is more about quality and scale rather than being an exclusively G1 enterprise, IMO.

Comic book characters change their costumes all the time but we dont mind. A bot wants to update his look and all of a sudden we body shame him lol. MP is about quality and scale, not slavish 1980's

Tch, speak for yourself bro. Underpants-wearing Superman or GTFO.

All jokes aside, lots of people lose their shit when characters change classic, iconic costumes. Whether they're right or wrong is an entirely different debate, but it's very much a thing that expands far beyond just Transformers.

That's what makes collecting so subjective a hobby.

Wrong thread for this old debate.

    Cons:

    Upcoming MP-36
    MP-13 and Cassetticons (reissue coming)
Ocular Max Jaguar (Ravage) is pretty fun.
I like MP-11, but many dont so you may want to either wait for a 3P option (Make Toys) or at least experience the mold before you decide to buy an entire Seeker set.
FT Spotter (Reflector) -but other 3P versions are reportedly good also.
FT Insecticons -Some like the playability of Badcube tho.
    MP Shockwave/FT Quakewave/C9 Quakeblast
Toyworld Constructicons -You may want to wait for v2 or FT has hinted at a set but it'll be years before that materializes.
Upcoming FT Soverign (Galvatron) and their Weirdwolf are promising looking.
    XTB Andras (Sweeps)
    Upcoming Eligos (Cyclonus) is promising.

No offense, but in a thread asking about MP Decepticons, making the assertion that a specific product -while not officially designated or designed as "MP"- might be close enough to fill the gap for that character is HARDLY out of bounds.
