Disney’s advertising team was on FIRE in 2007. Even as a kid who wasn’t really into the Pirates movies, this trailer alone made me want to see the third movie. Geoffrey Rush’s cool narration, the imposing shots of Beckett and Jones, the amazing score that culminates in that iconic scene of Jones and Jack clashing with their swords with the music set to each clang of their swords - that was even more badass than the actual scene in the movie which is no slouch either. It’s incredible that they managed to pull off a trailer as epic as the ones we got for Infinity War and Endgame when Pirates wasn’t even close to being such a decade spanning phenomenon despite being a big success in its own right.
I miss how in the 80's the trailers didn't make you feel like you had just seen the whole movie or had any major spoilers.
Not my favorite tf movie far from but I really like this trailer felt like a horror movie. Trailer was very misleading but I still liked the movie I love the 2000s of this trailer let the bodies hit the floor also I think that is Peter Cullen.
Back to the future teaser spoofing a big tv ad at the time. The trailer that helped this film make $9m (80s money so more today!) on a $2m budget! TV spot i saw as a kid and ran to tell my mom i want to see the he-man movie in theatres! I remember watching this tv spot as a kid!
