Title says all. For me, it is a tough choice. Each decade has it's hits, but i can connect with the 70s much more than the others, mainly due to heavy exposure of that decade's music thanks to my family.
90's early years was hippy-hoppy goodness to later years when it's was all techno and the songs make sense unlike today.
i can't vote. each has vastly different appeals for said generation. i loved my genres too much to limit a decade.....but without a doubt, the year 3519 will be the best year ever......
60's you get acts like the Rolling Stones. 70s you get Lynyrd Skynyrd, Queen and Led Zeplin. 80s you get all that poppy goodness but also bands like Guns and Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Metalica. 90s you have bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, and Smashing Pumpkins. So all in all its really hard for me to chose one decade for the best music, but in terms of influencental music, I have to give it to the 70s.
It's between the 70's and 80's for me. I chose the 80's in the poll because some of the 70's bands I like continued on into the 80's.
A lot of my favorite bands and songs came in the 2000s (Evanescence, Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, etc.) so yeah theres my vote.
i vote "its not really over yet" but maybe he forgot....... yeah......a prediction.......*shoves item in pocket*
Subjective. Regardless, I listen to a lot of Neo-80's/Synthwave along with what I guess would be Inditronica And Nu-Disco.(Miami Horror, Daft Punk, Goldroom, Kavinsky.) So technically I should choose the 2000's, but I feel like I should choose the 80's.
There's good to be found in all of them, but my honest opinion is that there's a really solid block of output from around the mid 70's to the early 90's - even after you sort out the wheat from the chaff a lot of big acts from those eras have endured to the present day.
I have a very broad musical taste, but most of the songs I like are from the 80's so I'm going with that
