Out of the three deluxe class molds we got for Sideswipe which do you like the best?

For me they only got better.

1 DOTM
2 HFTD
3 ROTF

 

sidearm is the best mold, and the walmart exclusive has the best deco. too bad it's not tracks tho, they were so close...

 

HftD, no doubt. That sub-line put out SOOOOO many good figures. It's a shame the trend didn't continue outside of it...

 

I still love the original mold.

 

HftD by a landslide. Shame we couldn't get it in plain silver, like the Autobot Alliance one.

 

They were all great. RotF had the best deco but HftD was by far the best mold. Brilliant design.

 

Sidearm Sideswipe is the best. DotM is unquestionably the worst.

 

Sidearm Sideswipe by a mile. I actually chucked my DOTM Sideswipe in the bin last night. Took him out of storage and he'd gone completely floppy, except for his shoulder ball joints which had gone completely solid, I couldn't move them at all without twisting the thin bar they're attached too. Rubbish.

 

Sidearm is best, but ROTF holds a special place in my heart.

Okay, I have all three in front of me, and while I agree that Sidearm is a very good mold, there's something about the legs that just... falls flat for me. From the hip to the ankle, I just can't get over the hinderances in articulation, especially compared to the ROTF mold.

Sidearm has a lot to love about it, but I am firmly in the ROTF minority. Hell, I have both ROTF Sideswipe and the Swerve retool - the other two molds I only have one each of.

(We don't talk about DOTM. The only thing to like about that mold is the Darksteel retool.)

 

This because it is all silver without the red parts. Otherwise the Hasbro version will do.

I agree with this. That redeco Sidearm is actually my movie-verse Bluestreak. I did have ROTF Sideswipe but accidentally sold him so ROTF Swerve is serving as G1 Deco Movie Sideswipe. Just wish HFTD Sideswipe was released in yellow as Sunstreaker.

HFTD > ROTF > DOTM is how I rank them.

 

HFTD Sidearm Sideswipe followed by ROTF. DOTM's small size and lack of paint really hurt the figure. I have the Takara version of HFTD Sidearm Sideswipe (with the all uniform silver paint) and have him posed up against DOTM Crankcase (who's armed with a pair of DOTM Barricade's mechtech claws to give him some big ol' Wolverine mitts for a more beastly look).

 

Which among the options is the blue sidearm sideswipe?

HFTD since its the same mold.

 

I must have gotten a bad one... but my Sidearm figure SUCKS in car mode. Nothing lines up quite right so instead of being nice and smooth he looks blocky.

Meanwhile, I've never had problems with ROTF Sideswipe. Mine stands perfectly fine and car mode is slick and clean.

Have to give it to ROTF (unless I can figure out what exactly I am doing wrong with Sidearm)
