It's very rare that I buy a figure and end up thinking "this may not be worth it...", only to change my mind later, but a few have surprised me.

I ended up liking HFTD Breecher a ton more than I thought I would. I thought he'd be decent at best, but he blew my expectations out of the water. Definitely one of my favorite figures from last year.

I heard Generations Thunderwing was underwhelming... but when I first got him, I could not put him down. He's a decent figure, especially if you modify the neck so his range up their increases.

This is not exactly a "wow I thought these would suck" kinda scenario, but I did manage to find RTS Lugnut and Grappel on sale for about $10 each at a bargain store. The fact that I was hunting for them for months before finally seeing them, combined with the low price, just makes me adore them more.

Everyone said it with me: "ROTF Leader Prime".

Seriously worth $45. He makes me moist. Most of the Transformers I've purchases are worth the price I've paid. None really stand out to me as totally worth the money. MP Skywarp was worth the $60 my parents paid to get him as a gift. Oh! Universe Onslaught was worth the $10. Far and away. U jelly?

5 bucks for grapple and lugnut. Working at TJ maxx is awesome haha. Love the molds and the price added to the sweetness.

HA Jazz, beautiful figure (also got at TJ Maxx for 15 bucks :D )

    1. HFTD Leader Starscream - I paid $40 dollars for him at the time and I still say he was worth every cent.
    2. Battle Blades Optimus Prime - bought him online, totally worth it.
    3. HFTD Legends Ravage - he's adorable and really fun to mess with.
    4. RTS Legends Megatron - good things come in small packages.
    5. Generations Thundecracker - I like him even more than I expected!

Leader Starscream is the only figure I have that I constantly marvel at how "cheap" I feel like I got it. And I paid like $50 or so to get it shipped from TRU.com; people are finding the figure now at discount stores for less than $20 and I'm not even remotely aggravated - I still say I got an amazing deal.

yea leader starscream is an amazing figure, one of my favorites. It makes me even happier that I only paid like 18 bucks for him. And then battle blades optimus, scored him for like 8 bucks.

First off, any good Deluxe is worth what you pay for it, in the USA.

I got RotF Leader Optimus for $20. Can't beat that.

Bruticus was well worth the ~$160 I spent putting him together. Always wanted that guy, since having a G2 Blast Off as a child.

-Classics Starscream (first version) from a flea market for $3 a couple years ago. Despite being loose, it was in damn good shape, no paint scuffs at all.

-DOTM Voyager Optimus for $15. I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed, but my Wal Mart has knocked the DOTM Voyagers down to $15. Despite a discounted price, it was still a hassle because I had a hard time picking between Ironhide, Skyhammer, and Optimus. :p

-HFTD Breacher and Hubcap. For Scouts, these are really well put together.

-ROTF Skids and Mudflap, Ice Cream Truck, and Tuner repaints. FUCKING SUE ME, PEOPLE. I actually think they're fairly decent. I freakin' love the Ice Cream Truck set. And the Tuner repaints? Personally, the only reason no one wanted them in my area is because they cleared the shelves of the regular versions. My girlfriend owns the Tuner Twins, and after giving them a good look and transforming them, they're pretty neat for repaints.

MP-M01 Masterpiece Movie Starscream. Still remains one of my favorite Transformers figures evar.

FP Bruticus; pricy but money well spent (this was when the FP add-on sets were still available at online retailers for $55 each, not the crazy prices they are now).

PP01 Faith Leader; he is my favorite and default Optimus Prime; QC was a bit of a gamble but I lucked out with him. Perfectly scaled with the rest of my MP and Classics figures!

Takara G1-colored MP Starscream. Guy looks good, 'nuff said.

MP-08 Grimlock; dopey but fun accessories and the gold chrome everywhere is great!

Generations Wheeljack + 539 Reprolabels stickers. My G1 Wheeljack nostalgia has never been stronger with this guy! I love him!

And finally, custom painted DOTM Deluxe Starscream. Guy only cost me $6.50, if you can believe it. XD Definitely money well spent.

Agreed. Warpath, scourge, jazz, tracks, wheeljack, hound, cyclonus, sunstreaker, mirage, and the seekers are all worth it.

You make it sound like they're so rare! I'd say the vast majority of them have been the worth money, even expensive 3rd party stuff and convention pieces. What really stands out to me is when a figure doesn't feel worth it and the last of those I can remember is Alternity Skywarp. Sold that kibble-happy bastard right quick.

Honestly, I think I'm gonna have to go with my older ones like BW Dinobot, Optimus Prime, Sideswipe & Scorch, as those were really the ones that got played with the most.

Not that Depth Charge, TM Cheetor, TM Tarantulas or Dark Skyfire (the latter of which I got a killer deal on), weren't worth their price in Energon, but it's kinda hard to place them above the ones I played the hell out of as a kid in terms of what the thread looks to be asking.
