Ever since the revival of the Star Wars brand in the mid-90s, there have been many pack-in extras that came in the BASIC FIGURES packaging.

Which is your favorite "extra" that came with your figures?

I put "Other" just in case I forgot one or more.

Build a Droid followed by the mini holo figures. I supposed the game pieces would be pretty cool if someone was actually into it and played. Everything else was just a waste IMO.

I voted for the coins from the 30th Anniversary.

When I was young (back in the 80s), my parents never got me the figures with the coins. Now those are worth a lot as collectibles. But for the 30th Anniversary to also allow you to put them all into an album, was awesome and creative. Then they threw in the gold and black coins just made it gravy.

I personally like the Freeze Frame slides, though I haven't yet picked up the binoculars/viewer for them.

The mini holos were cool, as they were great for display on their own or for a scene with the other regular sized figures. Anyone get enough of them to make a "chess set"?

Build-a-Droid was awesome as well, cheapest way for Hasbro to get you to buy more figures to get an extra figure in the wave. For collectors of astromechs were in heaven for this, I'm sure. I managed to get quite a few, and were great for custom fodder.

Though the movie of Episode 1 didn't meet expectations, the CommTech chips were cool. Even if you didn't care for the gimmick, they made great stands for the figures.

I both liked and hated the Build-A-Droid. Liked because it was a neat little bonus and duuuude freakin Darktrooper. Hated because you had to get nobody background characters nobody gave a shit about, or pay extraordinarily out the ass on Ebay because you needed one little widget to complete a droid you wanted.

BaD is probably best, but I prefer the Vintage packaging over any of the pack-ins.

So true. The reverse is also true. I collected the clones during this line, and of course it gave me a stockpile of droid parts. I've stopped collecting clones now, I think 300 is enough.

I love the HK-47 and HK-50. Unfortunately, the wave with the HK-47 pieces did not show up in Canada, if they did, in really low quantities. I have nice little squad of HK-50s though. Mostly thanks to ebay unfortunately.

You can start a poll on which Star Wars packaging is the best. :p  ;)

Wow, only 16 votes...I thought there were more Star Wars collectors here.

For sure the Build a Droid parts. You get unreleased droids for with unreleased figures. It's a win-win.

Definitely the coins. Love me some shiny shiny.

It was a great homage to the 1985 line, and the album that they all went into was a great piece.

I liked the droids the best but it did suck to have to buy all the figures to build it. Tended to be 2-3 good figures & the others would have been skipped otherwise.

Honestly, don't have much of an opinion. The collectors coins were nice, but didn't enhance play value at all for kids in the way the commchips or dice/cards did. The build-a-droid was an incentive to purchase, but was more geared to collectors than kids.

I'll say that I found the "force files" and flashback photos and freeze frame slides and so on pretty unimpressive, though, since they didn't really do much to enhance the figure (they could have been included on the packaging, in some cases).
