Windblade and Nightbird have pretty cool aesthetics. Can't go wrong with a ninja and samurai/geisha.

I also like the pastels of Moonracer and Greenlight. Makes em stand out from the crowd of robots that are red, blue, purple, gray and white.

Most of my choices are anime-style.

 

By "best-looking", I'm not sure if you mean attractive or just having a cool design. Personally, I don't find robots attractive, even when they're overly humanized. That actually makes them look worse to me (same when they do that with male robots).

My favorite female Transformer design is Shatter from Bumblebee. She has a lot of neat design aspects like the turbines on the shoulders, the antenna, and the unique placement of her wings. I also love how they did her mouth. It has movement and expression, but isn't literal lips. And it's hard to find a cooler vehicle mode than a vintage muscle car. Shatter looks feminine without being overly humanized...she's stylized about as much as the male robots are. Which, in my opinion, should be the standard for TF designs of any gender. Overall I find Shatter to be a really cool and inventive design, maybe one of my favorite in the brand.



A runner-up might be Nautica. I like her color scheme, the hologram visor, and you don't see a lot of submarine Transformers. I do find her a bit too stylized though. Like, I could do without the purple lipstick. Apparently she was originally supposed to be less stylized, but IDW wanted to make it clear that female Transformers were in the comic, so they made it more obvious that she was female. I will forever be curious what her original design was supposed to look like. But as-is she's a lot better than some, and the good aspects of her design certainly outweigh the bad for me. I especially dig Nu-IDW Nautica's design.



I can't recall this characters name (and I don't know anything about her in fiction), but I've always dug this design.

 

I'd have to say Prime Arcee.

 

For Autobots:

Windblade or Rid Strongarm.

For Cons:

Black Arachnia or Mega Empress.

 

I like Nautica's colors.

 

Road Rage.
Just LOOK at that SEXY BEAST.

 

From a non-sexual perspective? Override, easily. Hard mecha chunk meets sleek, sweeping curves; visually expressing her character and looking badass at the same time.



Can't say I'm depraved enough to be sexually attracted to any female Transformers. Robots deliberately attempting to be sexy isn't my thing. Now a few male Transformers, on the other hand...

 

You know those cowboys who are all bowlegged and wear fringed skinny jeans? That's what that reminds me of.

 

Probably the shape of the legs and the line deco on them resembling fringe. I can see it.

 

G1 Arcee - she’s like an Autobot with Princess Leia Cinnamon buns (interpret that as you will)

I like those pastel colours too, like you said, they are unique in comparison to overused red, pink and blue. And, I like black or/and white colour scheme as well, as simple, elegant and solid. I wish Elita-1 was like this, but I acknowledge, back then, they probably wanted female Autobots to look more feminine in contrast to male bots. Only Nightbird was different, as she was designed as a ninja-looking bot.

Yeah, I put it as an open question as everyone is different and some may find looks attractive, some - interesting - in a different ways. It's nice to have diverse perspectives. Personally, I have a strong attachment/attraction to personalities, I can say that so for sure. And for looks, I can’t help judging which bots look aesthetically nice as I like to compare designs and look for interesting features. I am curious to see different perspectives.


For me, personally, I have two separate views that even contradict each other. If I were to judge what is already in the franchise, I’d say that..

As for Elita-1, I adore her head look. I like the composition of those geometrically shaped features for some reason. I didn’t see any other transformer like this yet. Are there any? It would be cool to have those geometrical looks. Also, her top looks elegant.

I prefer female G1 looks in general because they have less menacing faces imo, like those in Prime, for example.

However, while on totally different perspective, I do like if the looks would tend to look closer to Shatter in the future because they look more reasonable.

I just wish they'd look less menacing for Autobots. I just really dislike how some toys of Arcee, for example, have these features.. like that somewhat remind me belly bones etc, that should be irrelevant to robots as they don’t have muscles.

 

Nautica has a pretty neat design, and turns into a submarine, which is an unusual, but nice, choice for an alt mode.

 

Robot Alanna looked pretty cool.
Also the original Arcee looked great.

 

Ohh yeah! I forgot about Alanna. Elf-mermaid girl has a unique altmode too. Like, can we get some figs of her Hasbro? My Seaspray is missing his girlfriend.
