Megaman X4 SIGMA “Zero, you were a Maverick?!” ZERO “What’s your point? Are you that surprised?” It’s supposed to be this huge shock- especially for the player- and comes right after seeing a cutscene showing Zero as a Maverick. It feels like it’s leading up to a big “Luke, I am your father!” kind of moment (in terms of shock value). And like Luke, it seems like they might’ve had Zero freak out at the revelation. Cuz he keeps trying to remember his forgotten past & the whole game has been hinting at his past and now here’s the big reveal and the villain knows the truth about Zero’s past and is trying to use it against him & Zero straight up says “So what? I already know that part.” It’s great & steals Sigma’s thunder.
