Just wondering what your thoughts are. I know its completely random, but I was just thinking about all the hands that the 3P figures comes with. especially those from Combiners.

TFC's Hercules and Uranus hands have all the joints at the right place, but it just doesn't do it completely for me as "the best"

IMO, the best designed hands that I have seen have to be FP Bruticus' hands. The ball joints are on exactly the right places and gives that hand so much motion that you can do, and it holds the weapons very securely as well. What do you guys think?

Sometimes I wish that, since TFC is doing combiners at a larger scale they should at min have "better hands" (the hands it has is good, its just not super awesome like Bruticus')

Any opinions or are my thoughts way too random?

I gotta agree with you on the hands of FP Brut. For some reason, even though it is missing the third knuckle joint, it still has excellent range of motion.

I don't have TFC Herc, so I can't comment on those.

I have both Herc and Brut and I would agree that Brut's hands are much better in quality of articulation but as for a set of hands that put a firm grip on whatever they are holding I would have to say TFC's Herc and now Super-Ion. Only because the hands have a nice range of motion only lacking the ball joint at the initial knuckle starting at the palm is a downside but overall my vote would have to be cast for Herc hands.

The fingers on TFC's hands are, iirc, pin jointed. Each finger have the 2 knuckle joints I think (one more than FP Bruticus on each finger), but it's not ball jointed at any point, giving the fingers very limited motion of forwards and backwards, imo

I think they both have a system of "grip".

FP Bruticus' weapons all fit into the same tab and groove at the handle to palm.

TFC hands uses a 5mm hole/pole system to secure the weapons.

My wish tbh, is that TFC would adapt a similar joint range of motions as FP did with Bruticus. Like, ball joint the stuff

TFC's hands look like hands... FP's Colossus have the same length in the digits...

true they both have the peg system so that they hold their weapons better but in aspect of having a "tight" grip herc wins there, as his fingers are more rigid and the joints are pretty snug.

Ah, we have diff preference then. My purpose of a grip is simply that it can hold its weapon without it getting shaken off during mild play. Both of which does the job.

To me I don't see a Winner on that.

In what you are describing I would have to agree with you. If it was an object that doesn't fit into either's grip system, then Hercules will hold it tighter.

From what I have seen, definitely FP Bruticus. They're more articulated than TFC's hands and I love how his fingertips are basically blasters. Functional yet creative.

My favorite hand design is the Hercules one, too bad they're so oversized.

My question was "best of 3P figures" ;)  it wasn't the best hand ever.

perhaps I should have specified TF 3P.

Didn't think I need to, in a TF forum, the "Transformers 3rd Party" section, oh well.

I'm not sure if you're confused about whether Eddie means his own, human, hands; but for clarity these are G.I. Eddie's custom Giant hands:

    Not confused. (At least I don't think). I think looking at those, they are just 1/60 PG Gundam hands;

I was trying to ask the questions as to what people think the best designed hands were, within the TF 3P products. I didn't specify "TF" in my initial post, thinking it would be assumed it being in such a subsection as "TF 3P". So I was clarifying to him, that that's what I was asking for for opinions.
