Question of the day: What in your mind was the best made Beast Wars toy? You know, quality, looks, and overall fun factor.
Transmetal Megatron. Kind of hard to beat an evil purple dinosaur. The beast mode is fun because not only is it a pretty cool metal T-Rex but the insanity of adding hip jets and something like roller blades on his feet.
I second Takara Transmetal Megatron. Very show-accurate, very playable, great looking in all three modes, and posable as all heck.
That is SUCH a hard question, but I could do a top 5! 5. X9 Ravage! Sure, it's expensive but this body really shines as Ravage 4. My favorite character, TM Tarantulas 3. TM Rampage 2. TM Megatron (Make sure you get the Takara version) and number one.... TM SP-DX MEGATRON Yep, the original Megatron but this painted update spices up the figure and makes it modern Plus, he shoots water and CRUSHES Maximal/Autobot heads with his T-Rex jaws!
The deluxe ghost Starscream is the best addition I've ever seen anyone add to a BW collection. lol I salute you, sir.
Finally! Second for me is TM OP. A monkey on a hover board with duel welding gattling cannons is fo real!

Silverbolt is a favourite of mine, and I agree that tarantulas is also fantastic. You could stick him in generations packaging today, put him on a peg and he'd shame most of the modern line-up in stores now. I also have to mention Tigerhawk - White Battlecat with wings!! And finally, I really really love the original optimal optimus figure. Not 100% show accurate, but he's chunky, poseable, bristling with weapons, and is a bit of a good egg all round.
Inferno and Scorponok. Never owned a BW toy, but I tried like everything to get my nephew interested in something that didn't involve Pokemon... and I failed.
I think I can provide a bit different of a perspective here as I'm not a Beast Wars toy fan at all. Basically, the only toys I have are the ones I've actually liked: Squid Buddy (Claw Jaw) TM2 Dinobot TM Tarantulas Depthcharge TM Megatron . . . and my favorite cuz it's a triple changer (ape mode? mine doesn't have one!) Optimal Optimus!
I remember as a kid, I had the most fun playing around with Spittor (latter the TM2 version), Snarl, and Razorclaw. Sure, they were not in the BW tv series, but I thought they were cool looking and still do.
