Hi! I am looking for the best 3P Optimus that is cheaper then MP10? I currently have Evasion mode Optimus but I thought it would be nice to have a good figure for the Autobot leader! Is the new Toy World TW M01 any good?

Anywho, not sure what you're going for for your collection. I have no knowledge of Masterpiece-styled figures as that's not what I collect, so I can't help you if that's what you're looking for. But I can never recommend enough Maketoy's Striker Manus. Voyager/Ultra sized, killer articulation. Honestly, the only thing that may put you off is the aesthetic. Vehicle mode, mainly. But his robot mode is sweet. Perfect Prime for a CHUG collection.

But to answer your question the Weijiang Oversized KO of Evasion Mode Optimus is probably the best non Official Optimus ever. No joke.

well i guess the real question would be what kind of optimus are you looking for? movie related? earth mode? doesn't matter as long as he looks cool?

i can't recommend striker manus enough. quality work from a quality company. alt mode is a little cybertronian but the bot mode is fun to pose and mess with.

i'm also hearing good things about a chug voyager scaled KO of mp10.

 

evasion mode optimusprime is a fine toy for the movie vurse if your looking for better for that line then i suggest looking at revenge of the fallen or nest or reveal the shild lines because other wise your looking at over sized versons of the older molds anyways.

but if you where after a better classics optimusprime i can point you in the direction of a few lol

+1. I basically did what you're showing in your second picture to a non-collector friend who likes the Bay movies. I hyped up the fact that I had a really cool KO that he wasn't going to believe. When he came over I said something like, "You're not going to believe how crazy this is. Check *this* out." and handed him the official voyager toy in a bit of intentional misdirection. He stared at it and later admitted he thought I was nuts, and in the meantime I grabbed the Weijiang and said "...and here's the KO!" Needless to say he was rightfully impressed, as is basically anyone who checks this toy out. Mine was $60 shipped with a flash sale Ebay coupon, and I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better figure than this one at that price.

 

Striker Manus by an infinite number of miles. Best 80 bucks you will ever spend. Perfect for modern chug collections.




Worth every single cent. And he'll be getting an armor set some day. So you'll be prepared for that awesome-ness when it comes.

 

If you like MP10 the new downsized voyager KO MP10 seemed pretty impressive in my limited time messing with it.

 

Seconding Striker Manus. He's a fantastic toy, if you dig the aesthetics. If you want something more traditional, the downsized MP-10 KO is probably gonna be the most G1-faithful.

Striker Manus. It's a mind blowingly good figure. The alt-mode isn't perfect, but it's way better in hand than in pictures.

The KO voyager size MP10 is supposed to be great, but I'm not a big fan of KOs, and I have an MP10.

 

Striker Manus is pretty damn amazing. You'll be hard-pressed to find a more fun and articulate Optimus.

 

both downscaled MP10V and the Weijiang MPP10 are really nice

 

Love my mp10v, had toyworld orion before him and I liked it too. mp10v will run you around 60. I got mone through rubadubspawnext here.

 

What is this Prime based off (G1, IDW, ect)?

 

Striker Manus is an updated, stylized G1 Prime. The figure comes with a comic explaining that Megatron stole the Matrix, and doing so caused some kind of reality altering explosion. Prime starts out looking like classic G1, and after the explosion wakes up in the Striker Manus form.
