Why didn't they use thes designs in the movie? I love the Powered Up Prime, the Osprey, Depthcharge, the red constructicon and Breakaway.
That was an example, i want both camps to be more prominent and each have their match/opponent and why do most have to die, that's movie logic for you, if your a bad guy, you have to die in movies, you can't escape and come back in a sequel. I kinda feel like they have wasted one movie, at least let's hope they have a great conclusion. EDIT: Pressed the send button by accident in mid sentence...
Yeah that was the first thing I noticed too. He's got the same engine for a hat thing going on, as well as some other characteristics. I see a little bit of Blazmaster characteristics in that osprey concept too. But mostly it's that Springer Legends figure. Man I wish we were getting a bigger toy of that. I find it interesting that Breakaway's concept art actually had that green on it that the figure has. That's kind of interesting. Also personally I like that concept. He looks neat. These are all pretty neat. That Devastator and Powered up Prime are a little goofy looking though. Heh, microwave bot's got a celphone in him.
That Powerup armour for Prime sure is sweet. Hope we see it return in TF3. I must say that its really nice to see that some of the designs that weren't used were ultimately translated into toys.
That Osprey (Springer) would have made for an awesome character in the movie, and Voyager toy; hopefully he'll be in TF3! The Model T is pretty cool, too. It's cool to see how that design inspired Ransack's design.
Does anyone else see these and kind of mourn? I mean, judging from the original ROTF Script, and these designs, ROTF would've completley lived up to expectations, and would've surpassed TF1 easily. Looking at all the potential that ROTF had, it makes me sort of sad inside that it was all squandered away.
Ok you know what I need to make that Model T transformer. Anybody know what scale Ransack is so I can find an appropriately scaled Model T kit? (seriously lol) LOVING this art
I'm sorry but - talented artist though he is - I really don't like Bens stuff at all. He's brought a singular obsession with insects to almost all his decepticon designs, much to their general detriment in my view. Plus his stuff always seems to look more like it's been split into a billion different pieces than some of the other concept work. That powered-up Prime is so ludicrous as to be almost comical.
To a degree yes, but some of the other concept work and indeed final completed art hasn't tended to Ben's style at all. I find his stuff largely disappointing, though I do like Demolisher very much; shame about his stupid monster/insect face though... *EDIT* And it goes without saying the Osprey-bot is ace. Chicken legs AGAIN though...?
